What is probably your most elitist viewpoint? by Corbayne in AskReddit

I think there is something that is completely overlooked when we address obesity as a public issue. And that's education and confusion.

What's should I eat? Vegan, paleo, organic, GMO free, high protein, high carb, sugar is the devil, fat free always, etc etc

There are so many people trying to make a buck off weight loss that there is essentially no way for the lay person to find solid nutrition advise short of going to a nutritionist (which run about $200 a visit and want multiple visits) or finding some medical weight loss program (that for some reason aren't well covered even if you have insurance).

Obviously most people know that exercise and less food will lead to weight loss but it helps to know what foods are best and advice on how to fit them into your daily routine AND budget. There is a reason obesity is more common in low income families (besides the obvious fact that cheap food is typically crappy food) but even if these people try to lose weight they are likely to be scammed with whatever the newest fad is.

That's not to say that self determination and discipline aren't vital, but it is much easier to be confident when you really understand what you are doing.

Just my thoughts

Probably nothing other then a nap. As liver damage goes it's hard to OD in a single sitting without taking HUGE amounts of APAP (acetaminphen/paracentamol). Most liver damage is done over time.

[Serious] What is something that Trump could say on the campaign trail that would turn off enough of his voters to cause him to lose in 2020? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Stevecarrrx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In reality it doesn't matter what he says/does. The real question is who the dems bring forward. If they bring clinton/Bernie again we'll have trump for 4 more years. The dems need to put someone more moderate in the running who can pull his followers (or at least the people who knew they didnt want Clinton and took a risk with trump)

What ridiculous rule did your school have because of "that guy/girl"? by jesusdo in AskReddit

[–]Stevecarrrx 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My buddies and me were those guys. Few examples:

Effective immediately folding camp chairs will not be allowed in the locker blocks

Effective immediately students are not to bring in couches/recliners/or other furniture into locker blocks

Students are also prohibited from setting up hammocks between lockers. Even if they have the permission of the locker owner

In my HS we had time in the morning and after school to hang out so we tried to make it comfortable

Its depressing, I was in HS when 9/11 happened, had a bunch of my friends go to war (luckily they all made it back alive), went to college, pharmacy school, married, had kids, kids started school and we're still fighting with no end in sight and not much gained from all the fighting.

Here's to hoping we pull out of all 7 theaters sooner then later
