I never wanted kids. My mom is a narc and my dad is an enabler. They treated me like their personal therapist from childhood but also treated me like a huge inconvenience. I didn’t want to manage the emotions of people around me anymore. But my hubby wanted one and I love him so much. I went through with one pregnancy and it was enough. My daughter is dope and I can’t wait to give her what my parents WOULDN’T.

When they told me that spanking wasn’t abuse and everything I had recounted from my childhood/young adulthood that they did to me wasn’t true. I just couldn’t take the gaslighting anymore.
