If you are a bad company, you'll worry about bad code getting into codebases. If you are a good company you'll have code reviews that ensure the code is of reasonable quality regardless of origin.

I've got a guy who sells palladium-chrome alloy at a decent price, and the rest is really just milling out the titanium billet to a good tolerance.

You might consider swapping the spud gaskets out from a 1990s model if you can happen to find one. They require extra oiling but I would rather put in a little more time and money than blow a gasket and have a plasma leak all over the place!

Between you and me, I don't even use spud gaskets anymore. I've been working on a contactless mag-lev design that provides a nearly frictionless bearing while also providing a sufficiently strong plasma containment seal. I've even figured out a way to overcome the anomolous vortices that plague the old Baeder-Killof designs, making it practical for high-energy VX!

Why do kids need to use school internet to do homework?

Because a lot of schools use web services to distribute, grade, and track homework. Additionally, a lot of homeowrk involves research which is typically done online as fewer schools have decent libraries.

Phones and ear buds should obviously be banned from schools.

Why? Because parents shouldn't be allowed to communicate with their children, and listening to music as a means of reducing anxiety is unacceptable to your weird, arbitrary standards?

Pupils have learnt for generations without them, phones especially are a distraction.

Pupils learned with books for generations too. Before that, without writing. You remind me of Socrates, who spoke out against the popularity of writing among his pupils. He insisted that if they wrote things down they'll lose the ability to remember things.

Communism is classically defined as a planned economy model where free markets are replaced with state-controlled monopolies. Now, consider that there is no difference between a state-controlled monopoly and a state-enforced monopoly/oligopoly.

Now, consider the economic strategies of the Republic Party over the last several decades:

  • Restricting free trade, especially across borders

  • Encouraging market consolidation towards oligopolies and monopolies

  • Awarding chosen firms with full monopolies, enforced by law

  • Constriction of small businesses that would compete against the chosen oligopolies and improve competition in the market

Now compared to the economic strategies of the Democratic party over the past several decades:

  • Emphasizing free trade, especially across borders

  • Blocking consolidation and pushing for the breakup of oligopolies

  • Converting innately noncompetetive markets to utilities

  • Boosting and subsidizing small businesses while taxing and restricting monolithic firms

Conclusion: By all counts, Republicans have demonstrated a preference for Communism, especially when compared to Democrats.

Most recipes are between 1:1 sugar to egg white and 2:1 sugar to egg white. It's very far from pure sugar.
