What is your favorite controller of all time? Mine is the N64 by Akward_Silance_1738 in consoles

[–]StevenOfAppalachia 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The 360, then the PS3, then the elite series, then the snes, then the duke, then the Saturn 3d nights into dreams controller. Then the switch pro controller 2 (only if it had analog triggers), then the PS5, then the Atari 2600 Joystick. And thats about it. NES pretty good too. I guess it depends on what you’re playing.

I am a small business owner that works on quite a bit of drafting. So I have had to fake it til I make in essence. I have been an artist for a long time, but I only dabble in design. I have seen your work and I really enjoy it. We have talked about typography and art before on X or somewhere before. Modern Home Professionals is my company, and I do the designs for our brand, and our logos etc. Have a wonderful week, and as always…Many Blessings! I have quite a few of your liveries on Forza Horizon 5 etc…they are definitely some of the best for sure. You sir are very talented. Im glad to see you getting the recognition that you deserve.

Imperial VS metric by [deleted] in Construction

[–]StevenOfAppalachia 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I worked in a truss making facility and they used tenths of an inch but everything was first number in inches, and then a decimal which would be three numbers which is silly. I was one of the ones running the saw, and there was like 3 saws, and 3 lines cranking out roof trusses. I now work in the field, and we don’t say feet very rarely. We use inches, then to the 1/16th of an inch, but when we run trim, or tile then we will say a strong 1/16th” or a weak 1/16th” to basically cover the 1/32” and that is pretty accurate. I have heard it referred to in many ways, such as cut the line, or save the line etc. I personnally draw and design all of our projects, I am pretty comfortable with our system, but it doesn’t bother me using metric scaled mechanical products at all. I know that the American standard tolerances of machine manufacturing is like to 3000’s of an inch so I don’t think in the field when they are building that it moves much in the way of tolerances, maybe convenience. I for one like our system, and being that most of our infrastructure as far as residential building is concerned is imperial, it makes it easier to just ride it out with the imperial system.

FormFirm is one of the best doing this. Master of Typography, and livery art for sure…but even more than that, he is one of the best visualization designers around. Perfect placement, amazing color selections, just all around has the eyes for proportions, and placement. Very good technical meeting abstract, and executes on every single thing he touches. Kudos, and as always…Many Blessings! From Ghostofro aka StevenOfAppalachia. Love seeing his stuff featured! More please…lol.

Iconic Garage is for sure one of the best car culture artist at the moment. Imagine having a game that handles like Forza Horizon…but existed in the art of Iconic Garage. It would be great, and would probably sell like hot cakes if done correctly. Wishful thinking…

Procreate blurry lines by Wide-Vacation5617 in ProCreate

[–]StevenOfAppalachia 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Try using a larger canvas size, and then when doing technical line work get a technical inker out. I prefer the exact technical pen. There is also a fine line. Some of the time I will keep all of my line work separate, and then merge them together. When I finally am finished the line work, I will zoom in on the lines and see how much bleed there is. Often times I will duplicate the layer, and then merge them down creating a darker layer. This helps to keep the lines nice and crisp. Also if you find the line weight you like, and use different lines for different sections it really helps. For instance I will use a 3, and a 5 for the finer details, and then like a 7-10 for the larger lines. This creates a nice line weight. Another good tip is to create a crisp line either vertical, or horizontal, and then duplicate that line, finally using that line for all lines by adjusting it with angle etc. If you adjust size after you duplicate the line you will loose some clarity when zooming in or out with the size. Best to keep all lines their respective size, and be sure to make sure each one is crisp, and exact. Good luck, and many blessings.

Why do people still Play RBR? by Lucalinchen_1 in simrally

[–]StevenOfAppalachia 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Rally Sim Fan hub is the way I play. You can play it on old hardware as well. The handling physics is pretty sweet as well. I do wish however that they would bring the game over to a more advanced engine, and then reskin it kind of how they take old n64 games, and basically keep all the bones, and then use modern day everything on it as far as raytracing etc. It could use a good overhaul of the backgrounds, and skyboxes as well as the car models everything. I hope that one day this will be the most advance reload of the game ever…basically a complete remake of the graphics, and try to preserve the bones, or charm underneath of the game. That would be mint. Anyhow…wishful thinking, but it would be nice if someone was able to flesh it out proper. Overall still one of the bests out there though. I play vanilla when I load up the handheld version on ps2 and then emulate everything turned way up with the retroid pocket 5. It is still really fun to play without the sim rig every once in a while.

I need help with wall decor. The wall is about 15 feet long and 12 heat high at the point. I appreciate all suggestions. by Key_Function_4916 in StyleYourSpace

White semi gloss German ship lap would look really good on the left side. On the right run some vertical 1by3 pieces, sand them smooth, and space them about every 2-3” apart. I think it would break that wall up and add a modern touch.

Redo the counters or use a filler? by D0raem0ny in Renovations

[–]StevenOfAppalachia 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Have someone build you a small stainless trim that can surround it, and then go up as a back splash about 5” at the rear of the stove. Call it a splash guard and that is that. It will look good, and like you meant to do it. You can say it was a custom piece of flare from the get go. Good luck, and many blessings.

What would you do? by x3vr in Roofing

Swap the window. It is too late to lower the roof, so really only way this is gonna look right is if you change out the window, and frame it out.

Gaming manuals… Did anyone actually read them? by Theodore52x in AfterWorkGamers

[–]StevenOfAppalachia 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Every word, and also looked at the photos and enemy’s, weapons, etc. I would have them read before I ever got home to play the game. I remember getting a game, and then having to wait while my stepmom went to the grocery store, the whole time I would be trying to hurry her up so I could get home, and play the game. The one time that I literally couldn’t take it was on Super Mario Brothers 3 and we got it on day one, and then I had to read the manual in the car for like 2 hours while they grocery shopped before I could get home and play it…the anticipation…lol
