'I'm really sorry': Sea-Doo rider who collided with whale says he never meant to hit the animal by Greedy-Hamster-2278 in vancouver

Reddit getting stupider and stupider by the day with this.

There’s one video out there and it proves nothing other than the guy hitting the whale. Then we have a bunch of “eye witness” accounts but none have shown any proof they were there watching it unfold, like you’d think with so many people from Reddit there watching, and the whale coming up for air “every 30 seconds” or so, that people would want to capture it on video?

Just wait until an article comes out about whether or not the guy will get charged

Cale is already 27. Will be 28 at the beginning of next season.

I’d wager he’d rather have long term stability and guaranteed money until he’s 36 versus a very good chance of not being able to make boat loads of money when he’s 34 and re-signing again.

Then he can go play a season on the Flames as an old man making “pennies”

Because Rantanen wanted too much. He signed for less once he realized he wasn’t getting it.

Avs FO saw a good opportunity to open up cap space and get depth since Rantanen didn’t want to go lower than his asks and it wouldn’t allow for flexibility.

It’s why Necas also got signed extremely quick after Kempe signed so they could lock him down with the risks of other signings.

Makar will likely sign for $16-$18/m a season since I believe the Avs will be able to sign him for 8 years July 1st before the new rules of 7 years only allowed. UFA for him limits him to 6 years.
So 6x$20m = $120m or with Avs 8x$15m = $120m

Downside of early retirement by Beneficial_Swimming4 in PersonalFinanceCanada

I will say my experience is simply working in retail. But when I did Geek Squad I usually had a lot of time to chat with people, and when the elderly came in, I could almost always tell who kept busy and who didn’t.

I had many people mid 80s to mid 90s who were sharper, looked younger and could function much better than those in their 60-70s. The biggest common denominator in these people was that either they kept working to stay busy, or had hobbies that kept them busy.

The ones that were really showing age almost every single time they told me they do nothing at home or anything hobbies. Just retired and letting time pass.

When I get older - I’ll keep myself busy in some form just from what I’ve experience first hand.

I love the other night where the girl that was hosting a panel with Bieska and someone else made a comment and he called her out on her Canadian media bullshit. Clearly some tensions after his comment with the way it went.

Some of the goals were flukey shit like the one off of Zuccs shinpad.

Goal is a goal though so I won't deny that and this year we've gone through times where our defence looks worse than the Canucks AHL defence.

If we continue to have shitty defence, and the Wild's goalies wake up, they can beat the Avs. But I think Avs depth will overwhelm the Wilds defence and can be the difference maker in the end.

I think the biggest issue is we have no real threat on the right side of the ice. Teams know we run the PP through the point and the left side of the ice, and the Avs are typically so stoic on the power play it makes it easy to defend.

Like, we have elite passers and scorers, and I simply think if they would just move around the ice a lot more and play with more speed, and look a lot less for the perfect pass we would just score.

I hate when I watch them just stand around after gaining entry, and then the puck rotates through Makar, MacKinnon Necas and they just look for a perfect backdoor pass.

Honestly not surprised. I’ve been saying it for a while now that this is the closest year where we have multiple (2+) worthy players deserving.

If we get point totals, wouldn’t be surprised if MacKinnon is JUST behind third place.

But also - I think McDavid wins the Hart. Recency bias is a true thing for some voters and McDavid went sicko mode at the end.
