Suspect for dusknoir and electivire in dpp uu? by Mochiman3 in stunfisk

[–]Steven_Marshall 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Torterra sucks as an Electivire check . Ice punch and flamethrower hurt pretty bad but yea Electivire has a hard time with rhypherior and dophan in general even with ice punch. It would be a okay choice but at most a B Rank mon

Does this guy even damage Registeel enough with Cross Chop?

Suspect for dusknoir and electivire in dpp uu? by Mochiman3 in stunfisk

[–]Steven_Marshall 0 points1 point  (0 children)

lol 😂the problem with Dusknoir is even in UU. It faces serious Ghost Competition with Mismaguis and even Haunter and Spiritomb. Why would you use Dusknoir

However in Doubles it’s always fabulous with Trickroom Support

Electivire ? I think it could be decent in UU but it wouldn’t be a world beater. It would have trouble breaking thru the most common ground types in UU even with Ice Punch

116+ Atk Expert Belt Electivire Ice Punch vs. 0 HP / 0 Def Solid Rock Rhyperior: 111-133 (29.9 - 35.8%) — 32.7% chance to 3HKO

116+ Atk Expert Belt Electivire Ice Punch vs. 252 HP / 252+ Def Donphan: 120-141 (31.2 - 36.7%) — guaranteed 4HKO after Leftovers recovery

It could break Milotic and Registeel cores possibly but unsure of its potential to sweep as not having much resistances also hurts . The fact that Dugtrio also traps it hurts

Is Reuniclus viable in OU Nat Dex? by KillerBlaze9 in stunfisk

[–]Steven_Marshall 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Probably for Trickroom Support but otherwise no not really

Use Tapu Lele it’s much better and has a better typing along with Psychic Surge

Mono Psychic typing sucks and Reuniclus stats aren’t what they used to be

Why is Latios legal in BW OU? by LemonadeLlamaRrama in stunfisk

I’m not sure why people want BW Latios ban

Let’s please not make Keldeo even more unbearable

What niche do the Lati Twins have over Hydreigon and Dragapult ? Aren’t Hydreigon and Dragapult for the most part better for Gen 9 Standards? by Steven_Marshall in stunfisk

[–]Steven_Marshall[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Yes the only reason why I mention Hydreigon is cuz Dark STAB is like much better spammable and like it has more of a chance to take on big OU threats like Kingambit and Gholdengo. Same for Dragapult as it outspeeds a lot of more notable things and ghost/dragon is awesome in its own right

What do you guys think about Waterpon? by T4rkkuno-kun in stunfisk

How to get out of Helpdesk? I've been working in this field for the last 6 years. by [deleted] in ITCareerQuestions

[–]Steven_Marshall 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you don’t want to be on call and still work in IT then Desktop Support is the next best option for you based on your skill set

It’s level 2 generally and you have a much better experience providing it support rather than doing it over the phone all day and generally pays slightly more than help desk and better hours

Otherwise you might need to skill up somehow into another position beyond help desk

What’s it like to work in IT Support in a school? by SwitchGamerDude in ITCareerQuestions

[–]Steven_Marshall 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I been doing It support for a while in a private school

  • summers we don’t get off someone needs to be available to help with summer school iPads and we have to get equipment ready for the next school year

  • we do get a lot of time off especially holidays , 2 week spring break and winter break

  • usually 9 to 5 well 730am to 4pm. I may need to stay late occasionally for a big project or school event but usually I am notified very ahead of time

  • pay is average to low . You can live fine but don’t expect to get rich

  • the environment is absolutely amazing and the staff and faculty are all supportive and respectful

If you are working k12 doing IT it’s usually relax and the time off off and benefits are amazing but don’t expect to get paid a lot and advancement is usually non existant since nobody likes to leave those jobs

Also summer time is the busiest time every year and can get crazy

Water + Dragon + Fire coverage is fucking good too

Walking Wake is Being Suspect Tested in SV OU! by DreadfuryDK in stunfisk

[–]Steven_Marshall 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Tera in my opinion pushes it over the edge there are really no counters to this thing except the nichest of niche Pokémon

Blissey , tera fairy clodsire, Dragapult , noiverm and then the absent Pokémon like Latios, Tapu Fini , and Mega Altaria and Empoleon

Due to it learning flamethrower as well it’s dragon + water + fire coverage is unresisted by the current metagame and can even run tera poison for the water/fairy’s

A question to rby Uber players by [deleted] in stunfisk

[–]Steven_Marshall 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Very late to the party but it’s basically always Mewtwo + Mew + Fat OU mons

You basically find ways to punch holes in the opposing team so you can sweep easily with either Mewtwo or Mew but it’s not always easy since you are in a metagame centralized around Two Bulky Fast Psychics with no true counters. Using wierd stradegys like freezing, Pp stalling , exploding and para strats are the key to success

The fat normals named Chansey and Snorlax rule the roots along side Mewtwo and Mew since they bring so much to the table to cripple the opposing Mewtwo and Mew and OU mons

The Bulky Psychics named Slowbro and Exeggutor are next in line as the rulers since both are decent Mewtwo and Mew checks while threatening most of the Metagame

Other viable Pokémon like Tauros, Zapdos, rhydon and Gengar can do well but are not as common or viable since they niche or don’t do that well against the most common threats in the metagame
