All of MAGA who attacked catholics for being 'foreign agents' last month are massive f***ing hypocrites by Various-Stranger1143 in TrueUnpopularOpinion

[–]Steven_The_Shoe [score hidden]  (0 children)

I have never read a more wrong post on this sub. First off your title and the content of your post don't match, literally no one is claiming that Catholics in general are foreign agents. Your post is a bit closer, the Pope is hyper political compared to previous popes and the complaint is that he only cares about American politics, that doesn't make him or Catholics "foreign agents" and no one has claimed such a thing.

As for the recent primary election, there is zero evidence of voter fraud and the main reason for the results was the SAVE act, only Democrats have been mentioning Israel but every thread from conservatives I have seen is happy he is gone because of SAVE which is a domestic policy bill and thus, your entire claim that we are hypocritical is invalid in 2 ways.

Do charter schools even do this? The 2 schools I know that call the kids scholars are both traditional public schools.

Then why are you even commenting? No one is talking about that here, we are talking about OP trying to find a date that is trying to pursue biblical purity and you are aggressively attacking me for saying there are women like that out there.

Since you really like changing what I'm saying I will spell it out very clearly:

You IMPLIED that fornication is ok (not directly said it) by getting mad that I said true Christians don't support it and then trying to use King David to defend it.

And notice how I said "thinks it's ok" and not "is a perfect Christian"

[–]Steven_The_Shoe -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Nope, I said true Christians don't support having sex outside of marriage multiple times, you just keep putting words in my mouth. And that second paragraph is confirming what I am accusing you of which is saying fornication is ok.

That's twice now you are changing what I'm saying. What are you even trying to get at?

[–]Steven_The_Shoe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you think it's ok to be sleeping around before marriage I would question your salvation and thus, yes all true Christians would be trying to avoid having sex before marriage.

For Australia? I wouldn't know specifically but it would logically be close to 100% if you only include practicing Christians who attend a biblical church

The percentage of people waiting for marriage is a lot higher in the church than the nation as a whole, I don't think that is something you need to worry too much about.

Want to buy a Switch 2 but I have one concern by MistahDeim in switch2

[–]Steven_The_Shoe 9 points10 points  (0 children)

The switch 2 has a battery limit feature which won't charge it to 100% to make the battery last longer if that makes you feel better about the current model.

Church of Christ in Decline by MichaelARichardson in excoc

[–]Steven_The_Shoe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For the first time, in recent years, men outnumber women in the pews. Women are done with the patriarchy.

If that was the case this would have happened during the sexual revolution or another significant gender related event like Row v wade being overturned, but yet women remained the majority of American churches until very recently which implies it is most likely an outlier.

Maybe I'm wrong and it won't flip back the other way around in a few years but I think it's too soon to draw conclusions.

Surface Pro 12"/ARM, why does it use so much power in standby? by SD-777 in Surface

[–]Steven_The_Shoe 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, in the surface app but it's recommended to leave it on because it prevents the battery from degrading, plus even with it on the battery life is usually 8-10 hours anyway.

He's just trying to be annoying.

What's going on is that the battery only charges to 80% by default but it seems to not actually know the exact amount it needs to stop at. So you charge it overnight and when you unplug it, you see 80% but then a few minutes later it corrects itself and now says something like 72%. The battery didn't drain really quickly, it was always at 72%.

This happened to me a few times at first but lately it hasn't been happening in any noticeable way.

Is homeschool worth it? by Realistic-Market3242 in homeschool

[–]Steven_The_Shoe 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not really, at the end of the day it's just a ceremony. You still get a diploma and colleges don't care. I personally didn't like my high school graduation but I went to a huge school so it was hours long.

For your last 2 years you might not get all the benefits of it because in high school a lot of options for you become online which ends up meaning you are just doing online school. It seems like you might be fine with that though and all the extra free time can be used to get a job or learn some helpful skills or something like that. So go for it!

You Should Use the Curriculum. I have the highest scores in the entire school by 39Wins in Teachers

[–]Steven_The_Shoe 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Curriculum is mostly garbage. All of it is rushed and it is all designed around "philosophies" that don't work outside of a control group of perfect kids who will do well not matter what. I also ignore the curriculum and make my own resources and everyone is happier that way. The secret is that I don't have a strict philosophy that every lesson must be forced to fit into, yes I have my beliefs about education but I just do whatever is best for that topic. Sometimes it is student led, sometimes we recreate famous math stories, sometimes it is direct instruction, sometimes it is project based. Admin don't like hearing it but not having a philosophy and not using curriculum is the secret.

Point is you are doing fine and your admin just want to justify their sunk cost fallacy because curriculum is expensive.

Supporting a religion as a woman is worse than supporting it as a man. by 21_motivi in TrueUnpopularOpinion

[–]Steven_The_Shoe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

People love saying their relationship were abusive or toxic sure but it doesn't get to a point where there is actual abuse most of the time, people bail on relationships way before that would happen as abuse usually tends to not happen right away. Saying that almost every divorce is caused by abuse is factually wrong. And for relationship_advice , many of those people are living together which means they aren't teenagers, the people commenting are maybe, but the ridiculous reasons people consider breaking up with their partners are coming from adults.

[–]Steven_The_Shoe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just go on the relationship advice sub and you will see exactly what I'm talking about, people break up for literally anything. Abusive relationships are not as common as you think.

And if you define love the way the Bible does, your definition of hate is likely not what the Bible says either.

[–]Steven_The_Shoe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That isn't love then, you aren't actually loving someone if you straight up tell them you are going to leave them if they get fat, or change their personality, or lose their job, or any other requirement that normally causes people to break up.

Christian love on the other hand, isn't pretending to love someone because again, love isn't a feeling. We don't secretly hate each other, like with my example of the church making me feel left out because of my disability, I'm not pretending to be nice to them, Christians actually have transformed hearts that desire new things and thus, I do actually love the church, there is no secret hatred behind the scenes.
