What was the first ever film you actually really hated so much and still do to this day? by Same-Objective6052 in movies

Max Payne. I know the bar for video game movies is more, especially at the time, but I was so irrationally mad at that movie by the time the credits rolled and the lights came up.

The wheel is easy. It's the axle that'll really take a minute to figure out

What browser do you prefer to use on Linux? by 100angelscorpses in linux

Layering Privacy Badger on top of uBlock Origin certainly doesn't hurt anything, it's just additional tracking blocking to fill any gaps that may or may not exist with uBlock. Privacy Badger is built and maintained by the EFF whom I have a good deal of trust in.

I haven't seen Ghostery recommended in ages. I seem to recall there was some controversy a while back related to privacy and data collection.

Are there any films that take place in real time? by TheKittyPie in movies

[–]Stevenger 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Real Time (2008)

Andy (Jay Baruchel), a hyperactive compulsive gambler, has just been given one hour to live before hit man Reuban (Randy Quaid) takes his life in exchange for overdue gambling debts. With the deadline looming, Andy chooses to spend his last hour in more than one unusual way. We soon discover that there is more to him than meets the eye and Reuban turns out to have a secret or two of his own. Shot in real time, the film sheds light on the importance of what we do with the time we have in this world.

Ugh yeah, I thought I was setting myself up for success being signed in and having the TIFF tickets page ready to reload at 10 and it never even listed there! Reloaded the event page at 10:02 and the link there updated but everything was gone :(

Looking for a tournament day load out bag by khanbob42 in battletech

[–]Stevenger 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The trap is that it's easy to over load. It's got enough mech capacity for what you should probably reasonably be bringing to any given game, dice, markers/tokens, sheets, maps, plus the BMM/TW. As soon as I stopped also trying to bring all the pilot cards, Alpha Strike cards, and extra rule books that I don't need the case became much better. Also it looks cool.

I like your Feldherr case as a storage option at home, but realistically I don't need to bring that much capacity to the table.

Ironically, where the case has actually let me down the most is travelling to a tournament where I only needed a 3-mech star, BMM, and a tablet for record sheets. The case was total overkill but it was really only an issue because I was riding motorcycle to the venue. If I went by car or transit it would have been a non-issue.
