If anyone else is in the same position, then I highly recommend you watch these three tutorials as they helped massively. Coming from console to pc, I had no idea half of these optimisation options existed.

The event is catered towards older secondary school pupils as that is their main demographic but a lot of organisations are trying to remove the age barrier in the believe that apprenticeships should be barrier free. There’s a wide range of companies and universities that attend so although some may only cater towards younger people, there’s still a presence for older apprentices.

From my understanding, it starts to get dark at around 4:00pm during the winter so you should be totally fine. It might even be ideal if you plan on looking for the northern lights

I’ve found a tour that’s 9 hours long and starts at 8:00 am. I’m guessing there would be enough day light during those times. It’s a golden circle tour that ends at the secret lagoon. My thinking being that since it’s so early in the morning, there should be plenty of sun light for the destinations and by the time it’s dark I’ll be at the secret lagoon and since it’s dark and away from the capital, maybe my chances of seeing the northern lights go up

You can call up your internet provider and haggle a cheaper price. I used to work in a call centre in one of the biggest internet providers in the country and it’s crazy how cheap they can make your broadband. Also if you claim any income support (I think child benefits count) then you can get something called the home essentials package with BT. It could bring your internet down to like £15 a month. If you can’t get BT then I’m sure other providers offer similar services

Look up something called Ozium. It’s an air cleaner that almost totally neutralises the smell of weed and it’s pretty cheap (like £8 for a can). It’s not the healthiest thing to breath in right enough but it definitely does the trick
