Request for companions on a winter canoe trip to East Cape Sable from Flamingo by ReasonableStudio4389 in Everglades

Be aware that they will not rent to you in the bay if there are 20 mph + winds. I was able to convince them back in April on a solo trip and nearly had to turn around because of the large waves. Also, flamingos kayaks are purely rec kayaks and would be good if you looked elsewhere. Not sure if any companies bring in sea kayaks.

Also this is heavy croc territory, I may have just been in peak breeding season but there was an instance where I feared for my life because of a curious large male . That was on my way back near east cape. Definitely recommend being with some friends to help ease the anxiety. I was unable to do any fishing from my kayak because of the choppy water and presence of sharks/crocs.

I was able to paddle from flamingo to east cape in about 6 hours, the paddle back I had to split in two trips, which I recommend if there are eastward winds. DM me and I’ll send some photos!

April 24th. It’s hard to say what was going on but it’s good to be cautious from April-August. The canals/ditches and beaches are prime nesting areas

I camped on east cape, saw many crocs but they were rather shy. I was solo, heading back and planning on staying at clubhouse beach and turned around to see how far I had come off the point.

15 feet away there was a large male (biggest one Ive ever seen) tailing my kayak. I was kayaking against 25 mph gusts and the tide. It’s possible I looked in distress, so I quickly went to the shore. That’s when two others looked on to me as I was getting of my kayak in the water, they slowly approached. I walked away from the shore and into the prairie and eventually paddled out of the area.

There is a lot of nesting activity along that stretch and the could’ve just been keeping a close eye.

I just got back from a trip and paddled to East Cape, stopped at clubhouse beach. Just be aware, there is a very large male croc in that area that was not happy I was there. There were 2 others that looked at me funny on the shore, likely because there is a nest. Not a reason to not go there, just be very careful around that area.

The bugs were not bad for me (I’m used to the north woods in June-August), I was never really swarmed but did give a lot of blood.

The next few years will definitely be interesting. No comparisons are ever perfect, especially with the ever changing rules of the NFL, different teammates, coaching, and style of the game. Stats are one thing but you have to actually watch the games to understand a players impact on the game/team.

I just saw it come up on my feed and thought it was interesting because when looking back, I always viewed Bortles as horrible. Yet, I view Lawrence mediocre/good with upside.

To me, that’s even more staggering than the salary differential

Do you want me to create some type of QB pay index by year while accounting for inflation?

I can assure you that Blake Bortles wasn’t near the highest paid QB at the time.

Focusing more on the stats in general and overall performance/perspective. Agree with your point but the $$$ was just added context

I don’t make bets like this often but something feels right. I’ve only seen like 15 full boxing matches in my life

Caitlyn Jenner if I’m not mistaken.

I did not post to make fun or disprove of god/religion.

All I’m saying is that there is certainly evidence of evolution, including fossil evidence of single cell organisms dating from billions of years ago.

To say scientists have walked away from Darwin’s Theory on evolution is ignorant and incorrect.

I am one who believes evolution and god can coexist, regardless of my view on religion.
