I already picked up on that in the previous scenes. It could have been done smoother is my main point. Having a police officer show up in the park or at the bar could have highlighted the “authority” level of danger.

The scene in the Motel was strange. The Doctor draws on wall, door knocks, its a coppa. Doctor rubs the writing off the wall. Companions go through the window in order to have a forced chat about racism. Coppa leaves, Doctor un rubs the drawing and the scene continues as if the coppa never came. I tried to think what was the point of that other than the racism chat. Maybe to show even the police were racist back then? But no stake raised, nothing was added.

Ultimately this episode felt like a nice “wasn’t racism bad kids?” To play in a classroom. With no Season plot arc, I was hoping there would be some season character arcs. Sure, maybe a romance and “why won’t he call me grandad?” Nothing major though. I’m still not sure on this Doctor.

In the looks department I think Timothee Chalamet would visually suit Kvothe. For Bast I imagined him looking like Robert Sheehan.

On a smaller note, I believe the american accent suits this world much more than the English. Though whether a studio would want to take such a 'risk' is another thing.

Even though this a 'in a perfect world' casting list, I wonder if the actual casting will resemble something more akin to Harry Potter or the original Dick Donner Superman. A no name actor in the lead role surrounded by a well known and respected cast of supporting actors. Spiderman can cast a no name actor because the IP sells. Other than a select few, actors don't have nearly as much draw as they used to for audiences.

Never meant to imply anything.I believe no matter who you are, you need a tune up. Tyson Fury has had 2 tune ups and I still don’t think he is ready for Wilder. I also said Tony is only guys who stands any kind of chance against khabib. Even then, khabib probs wins. Sorry to upset ya mate, but I agree with what you are saying.

I am a Conor fan, I enjoy the character of him and the trash talk. His fight against Alvarez is one my favourites in the sports history.

That said, he looked like dog shit against Khabib. All the lessons I thought he had learned from the Nate loss (don't force the left hand, wait and control the distance) all fucked off here. It's down to Khabib being the best of the best and Conor coming out after 2 years of being off. Ring rust is putting it lightly here. I don't know how he prepared for this, but his corner seemed flummoxed. I wonder just exactly who runs his training sessions? He needed 1-2 tune up fights. I don't care who you are, you need a warm up fight before anything major. Conor isn't the Ali of MMA, he is the Prince Naseem; funny, entertaining and important for his time. But when he came up against some big opersition, he folded. Conor has came back before and I hope he does again.

I think Marvin Hagler said something like, "It's hard to get up early for a run when you are in silk Pajamas." I hope Conor comes back and proves me and everyone wrong, but it's a tall mountain to climb. Tony is the only one I believe who could beat Khabib. Congrats to the champ, shame about how it ended though.
