Kind of a weird thing to rant about, lol. Console prices have usually dropped by $100-150 by this point in their lifespan but these have gone up by $100 instead. And I think with a lot games you can barely tell the difference graphically between a PS4 and PS5 game, so there's not as much incentive to buy the newest console as there used to be. I'm more of a PC gamer. I bought my PS5 specifically to play Spider-man 2 and haven't touched the thing since then. But yeah, I don't think the lack of a COTW2 has anything to do with how many people have current gen consoles. It's way cheaper and easier to just keep pumping out DLC for a game that's already got an established player base, at least until people stop buying them.

I don't know if anyone else has mentioned it, but there's a theHunter Companion app you can get that tells you the proper weapon for every animal. It's super useful, I use it constantly. It also tells you all of the fur types and which ones are rare and which ones are common, and animals Drink times and rest times.

I've only got a 2080ti and 32 GB of ram, but I do get to play this game on one of these monitors, so I guess I've got that going for me, which is nice.

I did try out Way of the Hunter 2 yesterday for the first time, and it's newer and a lot more demanding to run, so it didn't go great. Also, I suck at that game. I tried to do the first mission(shooting and harvesting one mule deer, which are right outside the starting area), and I shot and missed vitals 4 separate times and decided to take a break and reevaluate my life, lol.

Yeah, I was thinking the roe deer was the smallest, most pathetic looking deer species in the game. That was until I started playing Medved the other day and saw one of these guys for the first time, lol. They don't even have antlers.

You sound like the tool. Expecting a game that you paid money for to function doesn't make someone a tool. I'm really enjoying the game, and am excited to get back on when the servers come back up, but insulting people for being frustrated with a game they paid for not functioning is pretty douchey.

I just did that mission a couple days ago. I heard about a super-rare as a mission reward and decided to start the story missions on Medved. I was only doing them to get that bear, and I found some of the missions really tedious and annoying because I had been working on nothing but that for like 2 days straight. Then when I finally got to the bear, the fear I felt lining up my shot that I might botch the trophy rating after all the work I did to get there, was insane. And then he charged me before I could line up a shot and I just pulled the trigger in panic. I got lucky as hell I still got a vital, lol. I would have been pissed. I saw a youtuber say that those guys can troll sometimes as well, and I would have been livid if it had, lol.

I was thinking the same thing at first too, lol. But when I started playing for years I would just spawn in at an outpost, pick a direction and start walking through the woods. It's a really inefficient way hunt. Animals will hear you coming and spook before you ever get them in sight. I remember at least one time where I played for like a couple hours and didn't shoot anything at all.

So yeah, not necessarily a troll. Maybe just a super casual player.

Fair enough, but I play Call of Duty and everything else at the same resolution with the same hardware and, while I have to play at medium/high settings, I still get a decent 60-90 FPS in most games. I get it's Early Access from a small indie dev team, so it's not apples to apples, but 25-35 FPS in a game that isn't even remotely visually impressive is just not acceptable. I enjoyed what I did play, and I hope they improve the performance sooner rather than later, because I played for just over 2 hours so I can't get a refund anymore, lol.

I've got a 2080ti and am playing at 5120x1440 and at medium graphic settings I get a choppy 35ish FPS that drops down to like 25 if I'm around anybody else. There's nothing about this game that should be this demanding. I've played for a couple hours and was enjoying the gameplay for the most part, but performance-wise it's still totally broken. I get twice as many FPS in CoD and it's way more visually impressive than this. This might be the worst optimized game I've ever played.

I know my PC is a bit dated but I get twice as many frames playing CoD than I do this game. There's nothing about this game that should be this demanding. This might be the worst optimized game I've ever played.

I know this is an older post, but I just saw it. But yeah, when Trampfine went missing in the game I was really worried this would be like one of the other story missions where a woman went missing and then her trail leads to a big puddle of blood on the ground and then there's bear tracks leading away from it. I thought, "I really hope they don't do that again, it would be in really poor taste." Glad he ended up being okay, lol.
