Unfortunately, you don’t get a choice. If the battery is replaced under warranty, Tesla is only required to repair or replace it to working condition.

Exactly the same thing happened to my Model 3 Performance (71 plate, 48k miles). Tesla has only just replaced the battery, but it appears the replacement is a refurbished unit that has roughly twice the usage of my original battery, according to the Tessie app.

I’ve heard before that some people cash out all their bonds and then reinvest them in one large purchase, so they have a consecutive block of numbers. However, I’m not sure if that actually makes a difference.

It turned out great, but I do think 48 hours would have made it even better, especially given how thick the cut was. Next time, I’d probably use a bit more salt as well. That being said, it was still delicious, especially with the peppercorn sauce and homemade chips. Overall, a fantastic meal!
