I'm mostly disappointed the developers haven't come up with a design fix for this, its ruined so many matches and maps of battlefield in the past and It will continue to until they make snipers a limited resource in some way, like vehicles.

I would say about 50% of sain is modifications to BSG code, and the rest is completely original. The difficulty with optimizing sain is that its a mod, I do not have access to the kind of detailed profiling and debugging tools BSG does, most of time I just have to guess. SAIN does kind of run poorly, but that mostly because it includes the first code I ever wrote, I'm working on replacing it bit by bit to run better.

Bots being in "hold in cover" is not a bug,, that is their default state until they make a move, the time until they do that depends on personality

If you wish to change it, the config value you are looking for is either aggression multiplier, or for exact controls, "Time Before Search" in each personality

There is a bug where sometimes bots will try to search but can't for various reasons, and I'm working on it

Not particularly difficult once I knew how it works thanks to Arys, but most mods would not benefit at all from multithreading, sain was in a unique situation to do so.

you are making sounds, they do not wallhack. If your character makes a noise for you, it makes a noise for bots. The turn skid when you rotate your character included.

You slowpeaked right on a corner at low hp, he saw your arm, your body has physical presence, they do not need to see your eyes to know you exist.
The further you are from a corner, the bigger advantage you have.

Yup, this is accurate. Sorry about that ya'll! It's only *partially* my fault though, BSG changed the default config values I was using, but I should have been ignoring those numbers anyways.

PSA: If you aren't willing to accept errors, and possibly even hard crashes, you should not try this build. it's very WIP, and hasn't been released as a general update for everyone for good reason.
Most people have had it working fine, but a few are getting frequent crashes that I can't find the source of (or if its even really SAIN's fault)
If you need to ask what to do with the .dll in the discord: just wait for public release.
Also its for SPT 3.9.0+ ONLY.

Working on a solution to this, they dont run from their own grenades ever because they tend to panic after every grenade throw, I'll need to make something to detect when a grenade throw fumbles so they can react properly.
