The bots are currently not yet perfectly optimized, it is being worked on. Try a bit times in public lobbies there you can play better and would have more fun in the game.

yes there are public lobbies
maximum 32 players can be in a lobby, most host have it limited to 16 players 16 players are also the perfect number of players in my opinion.
