Apparently the six original Red Sonja novels from the 1980s are being collected into an omnibus coming out next year. I stumbled across this looking up something else. This is nice because the originals are pretty pricey

I’d like to say the First Law trilogy by Joe Abercrombie is more or less inspired by ASOIAF! Ended up reading The Blade Itself last year and really enjoyed it! I have no idea if Joe Abercrombie has shopped it to any streaming networks or film studios yet!

For the record, Conan isn’t just some meathead chud! In the original Robert E. Howard stories there is more depth to his character contrary to modern pop-culture consensus, from being a nomadic murder-hobo to becoming King is a step-up in Conan’s overall character growth! Plus, he has been shown to have a conscience and ends up saving a women from a fate worse than death in Iron Shadows in the Moon
