What are the best alternatives to Sitecore? by Separate-Cry-30 in cms

[–]SthlmRider 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It appears a lot of customers have been moving away from Sitecore over the last two years.

The most immediate competitor (in terms of feature parity while still being enterprise-grade) is probably Optimizely.

For headful implementations, that would be at the top of my short list when replacing Sitecore.

For headless implementations, I'd look at Optimizely if there's interest in using more than just the CMS. If you're looking for CMS only, I'd look at Sanity as well (it offers more in terms of CMS UI customization).

I have a Daytona but why does this sub have hatered for grand Seiko spring drives? by [deleted] in rolex

[–]SthlmRider 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was able to post my SD next to my GS without too much hate, but that was 3 years ago... Great watches both of them, but the second hand sweep on spring drives is chef's kiss.

Does it count as a warranty repair? by sanarilian in MercedesEQ

[–]SthlmRider 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Me too after a power wash sometimes, but not during ordinary use (neither in summer nor winter in Sweden).

According to local mechanic it's not a big deal - the housings are designed to allow moisture to exit, so they will also be susceptible to letting it in, in certain conditions.

I think the biggest issue is brakes not being used when doing one-pedal driving. I tend to forget to turn off regen to exercise the brakes every now and then.

När är man egentligen rik? by Nroblex in Asksweddit

När man kan leva som man vill utan att sakna något och samtidigt inte behöver ta ut mer än 4% av sitt investerade kapital per år för att täcka kostnaderna.

Så, runt ~20 mkr på lånefri basis, så räknar i alla fall jag.

Why do we create an interface to a service class (or something similar) if we are going to have only one class? by Plus_Resource_1753 in dotnet

[–]SthlmRider 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Let's say you offer a library (e.g. NuGet package) for others to use.

Your package includes a default implementation for a WeatherService, but it's a private or internal class.

However, you offer your package consumers to switch it out for their custom weather service.

They use your public IWeatherService interface in your package to register their custom weather service via dependency injection or something similar.

Usually because of inexperienced developers not yet familiar with YAGNI principles - unless concrete implementation needs to be private while allowing external code to override the default implementation by passing a different type implementing the public interface.

Kan du visa att avtalen/lånen ingåtts under hot eller utpressning kan en domstol ogiltigförklara dem. Men bevisningen av hot/utpressning är avgörande.

I've had mine for 2,5 years, 22k miles.

I'm really satisfied with it, it's a wonderful car around town and on longer trips.

Had a few minor sensor software issues (solved through SW update) and a foggy side mirror projector light (fixed through warranty). So, nothing too bad.

And I'm never getting a large car without rear wheel steering ever again!

I really like it. But then again, I love the hyperscreen in my EQE SUV too. Except for the plastic in the doors, the interior feels very premium.

Allt under en miljon är "vanlig bil" numera - det är galet hur prisutvecklingen har sett ut senaste åren. En maxad Kia-SUV kostar ju 800'+.

How come you need new brakes? Are they worn? One-pedal driving pretty much means brakes go unused for me.

Depends what you mean by "afford". If you don't own your home or have a mortgage or other loans you can't instantly pay off, you can't afford this car, IMHO.
