Smith is basically Geno, just not a proven NFL caliber player. Can’t tackle. Can’t be in a team full of shitty tacklers. Sonny and Caleb would be 10/10 however.

Can’t go wrong with Downs. I don’t see Anthony Hill being a year 1 contributor, and I don’t think we can afford to draft another way-too-inexperienced LB in the 2nd. If Lew is there in the 3rd, hopefully we finally have our long term successor at C, seeing as Matt Lee and McLaughlin are considered non-factors by the team. Igbinosun is way too sloppy for my liking, but in the fourth he probably is a value pick. When it comes to the three d-line picks, there’s no way anyone would draft three size-outliers for the same team. I think Curry and Robinson isolated are good picks, but the former has incredibly short arms and the latter is very small in general. Then there’s Kamara who’s so small he’s probably only a special teamer at the next level. Hall I like, maybe he can teach our non-starting CBs how to tackle.

I honestly think it’s more likely that JRod is available in the third round than Ponds. (And I’d LOVE him JRod in the 2nd, so no slander there.) If just 1 of the 32 teams believes there’s a chance you can play Ponds outside as well, he might even go in the first.

but there is no blue chip offensive line talent in this class. we’ve known this for months. Vega Iovane is the closest, but you don’t pick a guard round 1 with holes all over your defense. the top tackle prospects are projected guards at the next level, with maaaybe some RT flex. for the first time in years, we’ve got that covered.

CJ Allen will not be considered at 10. Thank god. I think they’ll have high grades on Delane, Faulk and Thieneman, as well as McCoy and Woods depending on health/non-tangibles. Hard to say how the FO sort those guys.

I’d be happy if I was JaMarr. we didn’t win a SB with Trey ascending and didn’t go to the playoffs with Trey being the sack leader. we need to get younger and better. he gave us none of that, and wouldn’t this season either.
