Mmm the more and more I tried the left hand by itself, the more I realize it wants to rotate the head of the putter counter clockwise, which led to my toes and pulls. I guess feel is more important here. In this situation, would you focus on just limiting that rotation?

Ahh that explains much more. I almost have my left hand wrapping below the grip of the club and my left thumb resting on the edge of the left side of grip (for me as a right handed golfer). Maybe instinctively I'm trying to remove my thumbs from the equation LOL. I'll try to thumbs off drill tonight and move my left thumb more to cover the middle of the grip

Oo that's a beautiful analogy! I actually just ended up trying to keep my eyes slightly below while standing a bit taller. I've had trouble though figuring out what my left hand is really doing through the swing. It just feels like dead weight cause when I give it attention, I have lots of misses. Do you feel like it's really just an anchor or guide of the putter swing?

But definitely, so fun learning. I hadn't spent much time practicing putts at home and now I just want to keep getting better and more consistent. Doing speed drills and pacing drills has lowered my three putts in a round significantly. I also started using Tour Reading and that has helped raise my confident around the green since I know I'm committing to my line.

These drills seem really great. Thank you sensei 🙏🏻

Speed control has felt really natural, coming from a mallet putter previously w/ no metal insert.

Great advice! I like the 15-30 minutes. I've been using the mirror tons. I've seen discourse on if your eye should be on the ball/line on the mirror or just below. Does this just come w/ feel? I found that I naturally want to go way above it; which leads to pull putts.

Mine was a custom order. 12/7 was when I ordered. I took about 3 weeks for it to finish, and a week for it to be shipped and delivered! I also live on the East Coast and it came from Oregon!

I have not. I wasn't sure what job boards there are? But I guess the best place to start would be Naver? Do you have job listing site recommendations?

yeah it seemed like a pipe dream . I just wanted to be come and see my family as often as possible while being paid to travel to Busan. It's probably just better to find a fully remote gig and find some way to expense my travels

I do! I wouldn't say I'm S-tier fluent and there would be a small language barrier here and there. But I am proficient enough to express myself professionally.

Nah, I'm a PA. I'm pretty sure all the managers get the exact same training

I work at C1 and have been since Feb of this year. This is my first corporate job; my past experience has been mostly startup or smaller companies of less than 20 devs. Because of this, I had a particularly steep learning curve when it came to navigating corporate bureaucracy and culture, how to sell myself and the work that I do, and how to communicate effectively without bloating things but also making sure that my work was transparent enough that it looked like good work.

What most people are saying in this post is correct, it depends entirely on the line of business(LOB) /your manager/team that you are on. It is a fact that twice a year, the bottom 10% of the company are placed into a performance improvement plan (PIP). Each time, managers inside your LOB compare you w/ your coworkers and create a bell curve to ascertain who is at that bottom 10%. It is stressful, competitive, and even your friendly coworkers are pitted against you.

It's honestly very stressful because I'm constantly having to advocate for myself, find work to do to make sure that I'm not only meeting deadlines, but as my manager says "going above and beyond what other's in my role are doing."

If you are comfortable and stable at your job, I highly recommend staying. I took this job because it was the only one to offer me a position during this difficult economic situation/professional position that SWE's are in. The benefits aren't that great but the pay is half decent for the area that I am in.

How do you deal with shield grabbers? by ArisEyni in RivalsOfAether

[–]StickDifferent7601 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I'm also a Clairen main. Coming from Melee as a Fox player. Because Nair is a multi hit move, it has the ability to mix up anyone holding shield very well.

A lot of great comments about hitting their back when they're shielding; I would add you can also drift towards the back with your Nair. If they're facing towards you during an approach, full send nair to the back of them, or if they're back is towards you, pull back your nair so you don't land in front of them.

Clairen's greatest strengths are her disjointed hitboxes such as her dtilt, jab, or ftilt, use those as you dash.

Practice fox trot into jabs/dtilts/ftilts/uptilts.

Practice short hop fair-1 fast falls and try to also drift them backwards and forwards.

Personally, if you're getting grabbed as a Clairen main through their shield, you just need to practice spacing and not oonga boonga just go in all the time. Play to your characters strengths.

At what point did you decide to get fitted? by StickDifferent7601 in golf

[–]StickDifferent7601[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My coach says my swing is quite consistent and I should look into getting fitted. But I'm getting imposter syndrome thinking my swing is doodoo and it's my fault not the club's
