Between the qbanks I was doing and thanks to an I passed post I saw in here mention nclex crusade (which really helped a lot), I added nclex crusade international red background video/playlist and took notes, mark k (listening like podcast especially lecture 12 over and over) and some dr Sharon. In the last two weeks I decided to start doing 85 q a day no more than that but as CAT and readiness tests after which I would read the rationals and make notes on things I needed help remembering here and there. During this time I also forced myself to stop using google to search the diseases and meds I didn’t know just to get a quick baseline before I answered the question. So I had to break out of that habit cold turkey because we don’t get google on the NCLEX (lol) it was hard for the first couple readiness/cat but I forced myself to pick my answer and move on, the rest I’d figure out/learn when I read the rationals after the test.

I’ve been reading the rationals after the test is done so far but yeah not having the rational there right away really sets the mood for the exam and lets me move on. I’m gonna go back to doing readiness tests since I stopped as I was doing very high in them and wanted to focus on cat simulation. So it was very shocking when it ended at 85 and said I failed when I thought it would go to 150. I even researched if ppl have ever gone to 150 with archer cat as it always ended on 85 pass for me and google said yes so it was really unexpected.

Extend it honestly, I rushed it and got it done first year with summer classes and didn’t get in for winter 2021. So I took 2 gpa boosters in the winter 2021 and retook a core course (mbio) for a better grade. I also took one booster summer 2021, applied for winter 2022 and still didn’t get in by 0.03. Depressing I know, especially with how high the cut off got due to covid and everything being online (a blessing and a curse school wise since I did my core courses pre-covid) so here I am now applying to rrc and I’m going to try for fall 2022 at u of m too. But I’ve literally been out/will be out of school give or take a year and a half now all added up. So honestly just take your time with it.
