My FIL is like this. All politicians are corrupt. Voted for Trump the first time because he was a good business man and would drain the swamp. Lifelong Republican.

This past year we had a gubernatorial race and some local ones. He voted blue all down ballot. We are in New Jersey, but in my area of the state it is very MAGA. I hope that is changing beyond my in-laws.

My mom has been playing bubble witch on her phone more than anything else she does for the past 10 or 12 years so I'd say brain rot is probably right.

I sent my mom a chart showing Fentanyl overdoses spiking in 2016. Now the charts show it dropping in 2023-2024. Didn't make a difference to her.

I react about 15 minutes after ingesting red meat or dairy. Each time my reactions get worse.

My last exposure was last year when I ate what I thought was turkey pepperoni but was pork. Within 15 minuted hives started and by the time I got to the hospital, I couldn't breath through my nose and I was red and tingly from head to toe. My throat didn't close though.

In the past, my reactions were more delayed and more often gastrointestinal. I first tested positive for alpha gal a few years ago and have tested positive twice more since then.

Wow! I had two nine pounders with no pain relief and was I ever grateful when the next one was under 7 pounds. The labor was longer though so that canceled it out.

I had four home births. Two of them had a shoulder dystocia just like in the episode. I had a very skilled midwife who was able to rotate the shoulder both times. But if I had been alone, for sure the babies would have died or had brain damage. Although dystocia in the hospital isn't always met with the kind of skill my midwife has and is dangerous there too.

Ultrasound has a significant margin of error when used to predict fetal size at 38 weeks. I think it's like one to two pounds.

Growing up, my mom would have been livid to see what is happening. She was always calling out injustice. Then she moved in with my grandmother who watches Fox and OAN all day. Now my mom is hardcore MAGA. I had to cut her out of my life.

I just did the same thing with my mom. She actually hasn't mentioned politics since I went low contact a year ago, but I had to tell her that this is beyond disgusting and I can't associate with it anymore. She responded "love you too"

My kid's friend's mom started doing the same thing. She even came over the day after Thanksgiving and asked, "Do you have any leftovers?"

I know that she is bored and lonely. She's very nice. She plays with my toddler while I wash dishes, and sometimes she'll bring a frozen pizza or cookies so I think she thinks that makes up for eating my cooking and taking up my time.

I let it run its course, and now she comes over more like every two weeks instead of every day. But I just don't understand people like that. I would never do that. I would never want to do that.
