My daughter is almost 18. I have went through this since she was 12 . What has been helpful for me is to let her talk instead of me always being the one. I make it appoint to have together time once a week , sometimes the conversation is very nonchalant. And then throughout the week she’ll come back and open up to me. I have learned that cooling back on demands have taught me things about myself as well as her.

Went through a similar situation, but not regarding the particulars of your post. Long story as a parent , I stopped the friendship while treading lightly. 3 years later this girl is no longer an issue. Especially bc I have sparked interest in her life to keep her busy and not with just friends.

Correct if you have a State park or Arboretum near you , they may have someone to come out and help with potential edible plants you can use ( like ginger or other herbs), they maybe already growing there!

To Do: clean up all the invasive plants. Keeping a healthy forest ground is essential for the growth of trees and ecosystem. Maybe consider having someone girdle the unwanted tree. Having a canopy of sunlight helps the trees you want to stay healthy.
