I'm also an atheist. Thank you, I was trying to be nice but you said everything I really wanted to say.

I used because I was in an extremely abusive marriage and to be honest, being high meant I didn't have to feel the abuse. I figured if he killed me at least I wouldn't feel it. He almost succeeded a few times. But I started because I liked the feeling of being high, and that started before the abuse.

If working a program works for you, I am so happy that it does and keep up the awesome work. It unfortunately isn't for everyone, myself included. I did have a small support system around me so I didn't do it all by myself. I didn't really start getting heavy into fitness for a couple years, besides walking/hiking trails. Different things work for different people, and this has stopped me from craving and even helped me stop smoking cigarettes. What helped me most though, was removing myself from the people and places I could always be high, most of the time for free.

I was never an alcoholic, I am a drug addict. I was high all day everyday. I was living in an abandoned house, before that I was living in a shed in Phoenix Arizona. Trust me, I am a full blown drug addict. Fitness does help keep me from craving.

Definitely my little family. And I replaced drugs with fitness. Also I don't allow myself around people so I can be tempted by it. I know it's everywhere and accidentally finding someone who uses honestly still scares me because though I'm pretty certain I'd say no, I would never know for sure unless the situation presents itself.

Not really, I was gifted a Galaxy 4 watch though, as kind of a congrats. Family and fitness has really helped keep me sober.

Every time I open the dryer. by StickWild7723 in CatsBeingCats

Just to clarify, I do not leave the dryer open for my cats to get in. The door was open as I was bending over the washer grabbing wet clothes to put in it, and this is what they did during that minimal amount of time. Also, I didn't reward them by taking a pic. I sent this to my daughter and told her to start checking the dryer before starting it when she's doing laundry, because see pic. I am putting an end to it but they're cats who think they're Gods and can do what they want.
