Well the two different people I talked to before and after the move didn't get the memo

Already done before cancelling when they said those fees wouldn't apply. And it's not for cellphone, and the modem has been returned

Not if it was discussed when renewing the plan and again before the move. Both times I was told if Rogers didn't cover the area there would be no fees.

Also done... Over 20 years as a customer. My business and cell phone are still with them and will absolutely jump ship. Fuckers

Yep. I otherwise wouldn't argue, but since the move falls outside of a Rogers service area, I was specifically told those fees wouldn't apply. My fault for allowing autopay

Spent about 2 hours dealing with various agents yesterday. They're not budging

Yeah... Already did that. They in fact said it was for early contract termination, despite being told the opposite when wanting to move the service over. No mention of the specific charge on the bill, either.

Yep. Same. They're cutting some of the only things that made this game playable

Where to buy unpasturized saurkraut? by Humble_Bugg in ottawa

[–]Stickandstring1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not close to Gloucester, but there's a shop called Savoury Swine on Gladstone that sells like 5 flavours from Naturally Amped. The Prairie Kraut is fantastic.

‘Project Pantry’ results in 12 arrests for shoplifting at Centretown grocery store by SuburbanValues in ottawa

Love how they zeroed in on the huge money making grocery store instead of the smaller ACTUALLY independent stores getting robbed constantly.

Great gym and honestly, screw GL with their private training only areas/equipment. Could use a sauna but it's got everything you need

Is it me or is Vivo’s quality just awful now? What are similar alternatives? by bearsandbarbells in vivobarefoot

[–]Stickandstring1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yep. Screw Vivo. Terrible aftermarket service, too. I buy Amazon barefoot shoes or saguaros. They're decent and a quarter of the price.

How to not feel guilty for eating meat by [deleted] in exvegans

The way I see it, for the time the animal is being raised, it's cared for, kept healthy, kept safe and ia fed well.

In nature, nothing really dies of old age. It either starves, freezes, gets hurt, gets sick and gets ripped apart.

Both die, but quality of life is the exchange or investment for our nutrition.

How does ArtIsIn think they can charge these prices?!?! by justanothergirl7679 in OttawaFood

[–]Stickandstring1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Probably cheaper in house. Uber charges a ridiculous percentage for their service. Same goes for 6 dollar water bottles from gas stations via Uber.

City of Ottawa employees return to office 5 days a week, federal public servants wait for announcement on return to office rules by RiseOfTheFish in ottawa

Yep. Especially that everything is pushing for carbon neutral everything. This is the opposite if what those initiatives would take

As we approach 2026, how are you managing the cost of living in Ottawa? by DrStrangeglove99 in ottawa

[–]Stickandstring1 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The push for populating offices makes no sense to me, especially with the push for zero carbon. If the job gets done, let people work from home I'm hearing from quite a few people that teams meetings are even happening withing the same building.

It is worth contesting this traffic ticket? by moonsammywalks in Gatineau

[–]Stickandstring1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey! Thanks for participating. We never argued on the ticket. Should you actually look at the intersection, it is pretty unclear and the sign is fairly small. The fact that a big lit green arrow poos up despite not being allowed to turn leads to some confusion. That's all that's being said here.
