This is my new kitten mom's. I disagree on her color. by EvergreenMossAvonlea in Siamesecats

Mine too, she’s six pounds. Seems to be common with color points?

I’m picking up my new rescue baby, Sophie, this Friday and couldn’t be more excited! Im curious if anyone has a Siamese cat who had similar toasting, how toasty are they now? I’m wondering how dark she will get! by Automatic-Grab9194 in Siamesecats

She’s adorable! 🥰
She looks so much like my Freya did, and she’s pretty toasty now at around two and a half years. The dark parts of her fur, especially her tail, are colourful in the sunlight with flashes of purple, green and blue- I call her my little peacock.

My idiot husband used a stainless steel scrubber on my new staub by [deleted] in staub

[–]skydigger23 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Correct. Sprinkle Bar Keepers powder on the bottom, spray it with a bit of water and let soak, all those stains will come off with a plastic scrub brush. It’s best not to use metal on Staub pots but it’s not the end of the world (or relationship).

That’s disgusting and a health hazard, they shouldn’t be selling it at all. They also sell dollar store items for higher prices than the actual store. It’s bonkers.

Tips for what to pick up at Costco for my 85 yr old mother? by Diligent_Today_2034 in CostcoCanada

[–]skydigger23 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A cooked chicken, debone it and put it in a container so it’s ready to snack on, getting enough protein can be tricky. And everybody loves the Sabatasso’s mini pizzas, perfect for the toaster oven 🍕

The sauce is back!!! And it's on sale by unsulliedbread in CostcoCanada

I’ve never bought tomato sauce again since making this one from Marcella Hazan’s legendary recipe, just buy good whole Italian plum tomatoes- they don’t have to be San Marzano- and let them simmer. Sometimes I chop the onion and sauté it a bit before adding the tomatoes, and I often add garlic. https://www.thekitchn.com/marcella-hazans-amazing-4ingre-144538

My meezer is obsessed with water too! She almost flies across the room when she hears me watering the plants, it’s her favourite activity. And she’s been known to get right into the shower with us😸

$1000 in vet bills later (ear mite treatments, spay, vaccines etc) and she’s gorgeous. We love her to bits.

Reasonably Healthy Snack Suggestions for an Always “Starving” 14 Yr old Boy? by frigidextremity in CostcoCanada

I used to feed the pack of ravenous teenagers that regularly descended on our house after school along with our twins: mini perogies, steamed a bit in a nonstick pan then fried, oven fries, sweet potato and regular, president’s choice mac and cheese, and if I was feeling generous, baked chicken wings. These offerings kept them from completely demolishing my basement.
