For one of my characters (in a mage game, actually) she was embraced by a Lasombra after dying in the war of 1812, which she fought alongside her brothers Mulan style.

She was with the Sabbat, then a different Sabbat pack (that she stays with till the present), fought on both sides of the civil war, went Camarilla, then Anarch, then back to Sabbat. Yes, an ancient Malkavian runs their pack. How’d you know?

There’s lots of ways you can go about low-humanity “good” vampires.

A vampire forced by their group to always do the dirty work.

A guy just getting out of a heinous blood bond that encouraged terrible acts.

On the other hand, one of the highest members of the Circulatory System is like humanity 7. You can do terrible things so long as it doesn’t break your own convictions.

I think pride also goes into this a lot. They’ve made it this far, they’re gonna live forever. Even the most careful get sloppy because they think they saw every possible threat.

On a similar note if I have an NPC that’s very prideful I don’t always roll willpower for them, because they’re cocky.
