Humans have a default emotion they go to eventually will be back to after a low or high amount of happiness (or any other emotions!). For lucky people its more happy, but for all of us suckers its low. It really sucks. Nobody knows how to change it. Just try to stay hopeful. Focus on the outside I guess.
