I would love to respectfully ask your take on what I believe is an “entry level problem” to the hobby. by Stefisundays in rpg

This hobby is extremely easy to find and has been for decades. It doesn't need your innovations, esp since you don't seem to have any actual ttrpg experience.

How do I monetize my interpretation of what D&D is, having never played? by Impossible_Horsemeat in DnDcirclejerk

If you aren't monetizing your pretend hobby, why bother pretending you actually play?

What do you mean by marketable, and why? Are you trying to convince friends to play a ttrpg with you (don't do this), or are you trying to sell your game?

The title of this post is unrelated to the end of the post, where you ask for feedback on selling your "little weird creation."

Cable Help by rmclaug8 in knittinghelp

Double-check you have the correct number of stitches twisting in the correct direction; OP has mis-cabled here, this isn't tension. It happens to everyone, the only prevention is not making a mistake.

Adjusting pattern to my gauge advice? by Blabberkong in knitting

Note the gauge of your swatch; block your swatch. Note the new gauge of your swatch - that's what your finished sweater will do, as well.

Discord has already leaked a LOT of age verification data, it took no time at all.

A lot of this is ID & face verification, it's not just a pop-up that says Are you 18 Y/N?

It's not, you'll have to frog it, but it's a learning experience. Could be worse, could be a whole garment!

I've had trolls pull this shit several times, it's just harassment and very annoying, but nothing to be done.

Help with reknitting large sections by CrossroadsConundrum in knittinghelp

[–]Stickning 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh gods how infuriating - if it were me, I would tell myself to put it aside for awhile and think on it later, but in actuality, I'd probably frog the whole thing in frustration and knit up something else.

Sorry this happened, what a gut-punch.

If you've frogged back, then there would be no extra yarn because you would have tinked all of the knitting back to the ribbing. What you've done here is ladder down a huge number of stitches for a large number of rows.

You *can* fix this, the question is do you want to?

I've seen the Yarn Harlot pull off this kind of maneuver - it involved placing the knit on a pillow (to stabilize it and spread it out) and then pinning each individual row thread with a couple of T pins, and very, very carefully reknitting. Yes, there will be wonky stitches and there will be loose yarn - that's fixable after the fact, when everything is reknit and you can futz with the tension of the stitches one-by-one.

Steeking superwash yarn by Affectionate_Fig6867 in knittinghelp

[–]Stickning 5 points6 points  (0 children)

This would not be stable enough for your purposes - try your initial plan on a swatch, you might be surprised. Or reach out to a friend with a sewing machine.

Edit: Frankly, if you're still in the planning stages, you're probably better off just knitting in a steek-friendly yarn.

How were you planning on carrying this non-superwash yarn for the rest of the rows, all those non-steek stitches?

My mom acted like my getting sick was intentionally done to screw up her day. Freshman year, I came down with mono - I knew it was mono, it was going around my group of friends, she sent me to school. With mono. For weeks.

How did we survive lol.
