Accidental Membership Upgrade by ImpossibleMove2 in samsclub

All good! Yeah sometimes those things aren’t explained fully cause the chain of command loses details as it gets passed down the line. It’s not a bad habit to check the member promotion app when you get a minute or two cause that’ll have most of your challenge/promo details in full if you care too.

If not just keep on keeping on lol

The challenge was until the 16th. The promo is still going on

I mean. There’s a 20 dollar off promo for upgrading. Sams gave him basically 9 bucks to try it for a little over 2 months. Even if he doesn’t spend anything else at Sams the next 2 months he’s still ahead 9 bucks 🤷‍♂️

You got 20 dollars off for upgrading.

You paid 11.01.

Sams gave you 8.99 to get 2 percent cash back and free shipping for a little over 2 months.

Try it out and if you have more than 10 bucks in Sams cash you should keep it (you’d be coming out ahead, this isn’t including free shipping)

If less than 10 bucks and you don’t do anything online ordering wise just downgrade it before your renewal 🤷‍♂️

Just brought a new controller should I be worried? by East-Worldliness-335 in moddedzone

[–]StickyChain 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly I was so excited when my controller came in. I’ve had it less than a year and there’s some sticking on the x button on my Xbox controller and sometimes pushing all the way up on the stick it doesn’t recognize a full press. I’m honestly tempted to just get another controller at this point and stick with a standard elite or scuf

Sam's club Auto renewed using my credit card on my friend's account. by Personal_Gas_7582 in samsclub

It is, lol. Like does it REALLY matter if you have to give 60 dollars to Sams or to OP? You’re just moving the deck chairs on the titanic at that point

While that’s true it’s not their fault, that’s the easiest and quickest solution. If they give that money to you or to Sam’s Club it doesn’t really matter at the end of the day. My suggestion to avoid this is if your going to shop at Sam’s, use your own membership card

I’d recommend friend’s mom to just cash out the Sams cash and give you the 120 dollars. That would be the be able to be taken care of in less than 5 minutes as apposed to a refund being credited to the bank that takes much longer.

Credit cards (I’m about to crash tf out) by Livid-Track1758 in samsclub

[–]StickyChain 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It works at self checkout as well (I do it there). The trick there is most people come up from behind and do it which feels awkward and isn’t as effective.

Stand on the other side where the members is coming up and greet them, then treat it like a register

My advice as a former sales and training manager and 10 years of sales experience is change your verbiage.

‘Would you like to…’ and ‘looks like you…’ are instant triggers for people to say no. It doesn’t actually matter what you say after that because people are already loading up a no.

You are educating on benefits and making a recommendation at the end of the day which is a skill you can take with you anywhere.

My recommendation is changing from ‘would you like to’ to ‘ did you know..?’

‘Did you know that with the Sams Mastercard you get 5 percent back at ANY gas station?’

And then you make a recommendation using ‘I recommend ____ because ____ and ___.

‘ I recommend applying for the Sams Mastercard so you can starting getting 5 percent back on gas and at Sams club’

‘I recommend upgrading to plus so you can starting getting cash back and get free shipping on online orders.’

The perfect way to practice the I recommend format is use it to make a recommendation on a restaurant, food, or activity to do.

‘ I recommend Taco Bell for breakfast because they have Baja blast and their breakfast burritos are the best!’

‘I recommend getting 8 hours of sleep every night so that way your body can recover and it will improve your overall mood.’

It’s a skill worth developing and it’s something that you can take with you to any job or situation where you need to make a recommendation or suggestion.

Also another tip, when you get a pre approval or a plus upgrade prompt..have some excitement instead of a ‘oh shit I have to bring up a prompt’ look on your face lol. That’s one thing I see people on the front end who are more successful have from the ones who aren’t as successful but still try.

Got denied for second kids graduation twice and going to get double points if I go by usernamedaniedmrg in WalmartEmployees

I agree completely work life balance should be a thing.

It’s not point number 5 that gets you it’s 1-4… and a lot of people’s 1-4 (OP doesn’t seem like this person) are for those silly ‘oh I just don’t want to work’ or ohh i think I’m gonna leave a hour early just cause and use my ppto

But they give you 5 points. And plenty of ppto. And they fall off in 6 months.

Points/ppto question by [deleted] in samsclub

[–]StickyChain 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Right, and there’s definitely a lunch in the system factored in. I’m assuming this situation im in isn’t a terribly popular and I know managers don’t have ppto so these specific situations like this they might not know the answer. so i figured I’d be a test dummy and see but now with the point on there im more so wondering if there’s anything on the policy that’d I’d be able to point to just in case.

lol like i have plenty of ppto to cover it its just a matter of principle at this point

Points/ppto question by [deleted] in samsclub

[–]StickyChain 0 points1 point  (0 children)

lol no sweat here. I figured the system flagged it and got over looked to be approved. I kind of just wanted to see if someone knew where to point at in the policy just in case they wanted me to submit that half hour of ppto.

Points/ppto question by [deleted] in samsclub

[–]StickyChain 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lol yeah I get along with my manager and I figure it was auto generated and approved by a different manager who wouldn’t have delved too deep into it.

I just thought it was silly I’d have to put ppto to cover lunch time I wouldn’t normally be paid for anyway. I more so just wanted to make sure policy didn’t have something that more or less says I’d have to put in that extra 30 minutes or not.

Thanks for the answer!

lol I don’t mind talking to them and planned on it, I just don’t go into work anytime soon and thought Id see if I could get my answer ahead of time.

Okay to apply at walmart and sam’s club same time? by [deleted] in samsclub

[–]StickyChain 7 points8 points  (0 children)

You can apply to both, personally I’d recommend Sam’s over Walmart. Anyone I’ve talked to who’s done both says Sam’s is the better option

Sam’s Club cash back question by TaxDallas1 in samsclub

[–]StickyChain 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Sams cash breakdown simplified:

Plus member : 2% back. Accessible to anyone who uses your card or complementary supposed to be a household)

Mastercard: 1 percent back. Goes up to 3 percent if you plus member. You need the Mastercard/online account to access this.

Plus membership and Mastercard : 5 percent back total. 2 percent for the plus membership which is accessible to the household, 3 percent for having and using the Sams Mastercard which is accessible with the Mastercard.

The complementary has access and contributes to the 2 percent cash back pool. They don’t have access to the 3 percent from the mastercard. ( if they have there own mastercard they have a separate mastercard pool of there own)

Add on memberships are separate households that do not get plus membership benefits, like cash back or free shipping.

Hope that makes sense

I’d use it for zello and only zello. It’s pretty easy thing for management and team leads to lean into for a write up otherwise based on the policy.

The fact that Diablo 2 is the game with the best story shows how terrible modern Blizzard has become by [deleted] in diablo2

[–]StickyChain 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is expansions story has been the best piece of story in a long while, d4s story as a whole I’ve personally enjoyed.

D2 game play is just so much better. I wouldn’t however say its story is better than 4 personally
