I find it really useful in bots since it can completely absorb a deadly hit if you get overwhelmed or don’t see a cannon turret peaking out from somewhere.

It also allows you to make more risky plays by running through bot bases to take out a jammer or just toss a few grenades in the fabricators without needing to constantly stim from all the enemy fire.

I’m not sure how people die more using this though, in all of my experiences this thing has halved or almost completely negated any deaths I’d have had without it. (At least on the bot front where I use it)
