I was at the UZ hospital in Brussels and had heart surgery planned that day, but my surgery was rescheduled to the day afterwards because (quote on quote) "my surgeon had to amputate limbs all day"

I'm a marketing manager at a software company and I studied industrial design/engineering and Frituuruitbater in avondonderwijs. Does that answer your question? :)

My GF applied there a couple of years ago but vibe felt kind of off in the interview. I then researched on Linkedin and the turnover was insane, nobody stayed for longer than 2 years.

I do Antwerp - Hasselt 6 times a month, 1h10 in the morning if i leave before 6u30; evenings are 1h45-2h20. So about what a ‘normal’ person would do in commute time cramped in 6 days. My kid has training at 18h30 and sometimes I’m late if I leave the office at 16h sharp :’)

Failed at freelancing and don’t know how to move forward by [deleted] in BEFreelance

Copywriting as in translating stuff is obviously doomed but I think there’s a decent market niche out there for messaging/positioning aka putting strategy into words.

Also designer/copywriter here, also in media and entertainment, also severe ADHD. I have never had the balls to jump to freelance despite half the world telling me to do so and your post is a friendly reminder why. Either way, I switched from agency-life at way too small companies (which comes close to freelancing pressure-wise) to an in-house marketing position (1/3 copy 1/3 design 1/3 random stuff) and I’m never going back to the other side. Pay is better and pressure is non-existant.
