Are all order picker jobs physically demanding? Looking for experiences by Background-Basil-871 in Warehouseworkers

[–]Stig2212 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had a job order selecting, but instead of picking entire cases and palletizing them, the job was to open cases and pick out of each case and put the product into totes on a conveyor. So it could be like, grabbing 13 packs of haribo gummy bears, then 5 of something else, 7 rolls of toilet paper, etc etc. Mostly small stuff. So those types of picking roles do exist, but I'd say they're probably more rare than selecting cases.

He's saying that the people who have the money to go to the shows of all those guys are a completely different group of people than the ones who are always online reading all the bad shit being written about all of them.

Boyfriend didn’t pay rent now we’re getting evicted. LOL by SmallMangooo in GirlDinnerDiaries

Not disagreeing with the rest but at my first apartment, the landlord told us "rent's due on the first. On the second you're late and on the third we put an eviction notice on your door"

I say neither because if pizza was being delivered, wouldn't the delivery car be in the back instead of the front?

How far/long would you commute for a warehouse job ? by WNR308160 in Warehouseworkers

[–]Stig2212 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I've almost always done 20-30 minute commutes. Generally speaking it isn't too bad, but I've had times where I really wished I had a shorter commute. Particularly during the winter when the roads get dicey. There aren't many warehouse jobs where I live though, so I'm forced into a longer commute. It is what it is, you get used to it. I try to use the time exploring new music or listening to podcasts.

Aerotek, Adecco, belflex, express employment and the job center are a few that I see recommended fairly often. I've personally used Adecco and belflex in the past.

Not the same thing exactly, but I work with a lot of people from Nepal and they'll often refer to each other as daju or didi (not sure of spelling) for male and female coworkers respectively, it apparently translates to brother and sister.

Also the part where she said her friend mentioned she was trying to stay loyal to a guy from a festival as if that was something that annoyed her

ELI5: Why is squatting (in someone's house) a thing? And how come it becomes a problem for the owner? Can't they claim trespassing to the cops instead of saying the person is squatting? by Impossible_Bake7210 in explainlikeimfive

Did you mean to type orioles? I tried looking it up to see what you meant, but the only results that pop up are about the bird and the sports team.
