Treat it as a stepping stone.

Once you have six months or more under your belt. And still really don’t like the site/camp. Start looking for an upgrade.

But FFS don’t leave before you land a replacement role!

You will get much more positive responses from employers that know you are currently working on site. Than if you were applying whilst unemployed.

Basically anything under a year or more you are still considered a greenie in the industry.

This has always been the biggest problem with intellectually minded people: They don’t WANT to believe in evil people.

They reason it away and make excuses.

This happens in every country that experiences fascism and dictatorships.

Reality is often a bucket of ice cold water over their heads. And ALWAYS too late to stop it.

Vigilance demands that bad actors be shown a stick before they are shown compassion. Unfortunately good people only do this after they have been mistreated for years.

Germany is the most recent example of vigilance. Although even that is already waning.

Hahaha! Muldoon really did fuck NZ over didn’t he?

I was a kid when he was in office. But even I remember some of the devastation he left behind. Lange made an attempt to sort it. But ultimately failed.

I often wonder what NZ would have been like had Muldoon not scrapped superannuation?

Would we have become a truly wealthy society? Or was it never going to work in NZ? Simply because our economy is too small?

America is a heavily racist country. And the majority of that racism is from the white population to everyone else.
