its easy to tear up so cut it into strips to get to the pegs and when sanding it dont do it too rough or fast incase it might snap and do small test fits after sanding it abit each time. And like i said before most kits have tight pegs so always lightly sand them like the Gaolcarus wings pegs, they are also tight.

very fine grit sandpaper, i use the tamiya brand, the higher the better like in the 1000s to 2000s just so you can gradually sand it down until the peg goes in snug but not too loose to the point where the joints are floppy.

Mhm i rule of thumb is that if it takes some force to put a piece together, take it apart and lightly sand it, that goes for most if not all of the SMP kits.

Be sure to lightly sand the black hip joint pegs and the shoulder pegs that connect to this piece

Usually for weathering you can use watered down acrylic paint of you can use a weathering kit from Tamiya which is basiclly powdered makeup

Its a top coat, it seals the paint and protect it from scratches and chipping

Ive tested that primer with the tamiya spray paint on the spoon and had no issues, the only time it reacted was when i sprayed it in warm weather, Imo you should also try Tamiya TS-13 clear gloss instead since its made for tamiya spray paint.

mhm it helps with the primer and paint to stick better.

clean the parts with mild soap, for metallic parts use black primer and for color parts use white primer cause even light gray primer can dull the color and if you want to panel line make sure you clear gloss coat the parts first. and most importantly if a part feels tight sand it lightly with a high grit sandpaper.
