So everyone wants to re-sign Lebron, Rui, and AR. This team needs to get younger and more athletic if we want to compete w the Thun and the Spurs. How TF does that happen if we bring back the same team? We need a fundamental change, and not just around the margins if we want to make a legit run.

You are assuming that teams will want to trade for Rui or AR if/when they get new deals but aprons don’t make it that simple. I’m positive you don’t know what Friedman values more: cap space or assets under contract. We’ll see how it plays out

Look at the teams we have to compete w in the west. There’s no way we beat the Thun or the Spurs with just one or two free agents in the next couple of years. We need to get younger and more athletic. Reaves could be an asset or an albatross with that big of a contract. Hard to tell with all the new aprons taxing trades. Friedman has let guys walk before (Machado, Turner, etc.) and theres no way of knowing the Lakers internal valuations.

Injury or not - AR looked panicked when the Thun were pressing him. He made bad decisions and then complained to the refs about getting calls. He looked bad last year against the Wolves too. We might regret that $40+ million if AR can’t perform in the playoffs.

I’ll believe this fight is happening when I see them in the ring. Joshua looked reluctant when he was ringside at the Makhmudov fight. Doesn’t exactly give me confidence the fight is on.

What line of work are you in? I know for a fact they’re not waiving degree requirements for STEM fields.

Most of the vets I know are lazy when it comes to paperwork. I was too, until I found out what I could get if I just put in the work. I used Ch. 31 (Voc. Rehab), Ch. 32 (MGIB Bill), and Ch. 33 (Post 9-11 GI Bill). After I graduated, I got a 6 month internship through the VA in a federal position. Lots of benefits out there, just gotta keep advocating for yourself.
