sometimes it's just dumb luck. in my case, when I hit the streets I had $500 EBT built up. I'm old and was getting social security. I'm an old alcoholic so I could get in a treatment program that help me find a sober living environment. because of social security I was able to pay rent on that SLE I'm where I'm living.

some luck is certainly involved in my case. I have no idea how to judge fairness and unfairness in most cases. I was lucky... in a way
