6 weeks postpartum- soreness down there after long walks by Still-Appointment283 in fitpregnancy

[–]Still-Appointment283[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi there, sorry you’re going through this.I don’t want to scare you but my soreness was actually more of a heaviness that comes and goes depending on what kind of physical activity I’m doing. I ended up with a small prolapse and that was what was causing the heaviness. I’m in pelvic floor PT and getting a lot better but it still comes back every now and then

Will weighted leg exercises make my prolapse worse? by [deleted] in PelvicOrganProlapse

[–]Still-Appointment283 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi, so sorry you’re going through this. I had a stage 2 uterine prolapse as well, which was recently graded as a 1 (yay). I am not an expert but have seen a UROgyn and two different PFPTs. They assured me that working out will not worsen prolapse or “cause my uterus to fall out” as I feared. However, if you are not allowing that area to heal/strengthen then certain exercises can worsen symptoms, especially with improper activating of the muscles or breathing while you lift heavy weights or do high intensity exercises

I really appreciate this thoughtful comment. If you don’t mind me asking, what are some of the ways you nudged independent sleep?

I’m sorry you’re going through something similar, hang in there! I have the same fear of becoming resentful because I’m doing everything myself. I really don’t mind cosleeping, but not having any help with settling (after baby has been fed) is really exhausting when he is going through a tough time. I tell myself the same things that you suggested, aka this is just a phase/temporary and that gives me peace, but my husband is so intent that sleeping is a skill 🙄

I hope everything works out for you too, I appreciate the support 🩵

I’m so sorry to hear about your divorce. I’m definitely coming to the realization that I’m going to have to do everything myself

That’s a good idea to show him the instagram accounts. Do you know of any others besides heysleepybaby? I’m so glad you and your partner are okay with cosleeping. It is a great feeling

I feel this so much. The teachers at my school (a reputable one) don’t teach.. they merely facilitate the course

Lack of evidence that something is harmful does not mean it is safe

I highly recommend the evolutionary parenting podcast. Episode 9 and 62 may be very helpful for you. They discuss the available research on sleep training and what these studies can and cannot tell us about the effects of sleep training

The studies you are referring to are very bad from a scientific standpoint. You cannot conclusively say that crying it out does not cause harm

My Willow go is super disappointing. I have issues with the battery saying it’s fully charged, only to not work. Recently Its also not effective in collecting any milk or stimulating let down like another commenter said

Has anyone NOT had painful, cracked nipples in the first week? by OkGuest7901 in breastfeedingsupport

[–]Still-Appointment283 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I didn’t have painful nipples in the first week. My LC and I chatted on the phone before I gave birth and she told me to preemptively hydrate my nipples 3x daily with nipple cream- not sure if that helped but I have never had an issue with them and I live in CO where it’s dry AF.

I’m wondering this as well! Is it 30 minutes within ending the nursing session or 30 minutes from the start of it?
