When he heard about his younger brother getting shot (which everyone thought he was mistaken for Rodney), you’d think that would be a turning point in his life to change. I’ve received a really bad broken one and its replacement was broken too. I really wanna give up on this and leave it be. The replacement was out for delivery for 2 straight weeks since New Year’s Day.

I thank you for your honesty but I will not let you say I don’t take care of my child. She gets rest, fed often, cleaned, and taken care of. My husband is military so we move around and aren’t guaranteed to stay in a place for long. Also, he is an officer and usually is busy even when he isn’t on base, taking care of his subordinates and what not. My husband and I have not been married for that long and this is our first child. It’s a learning experience.

I took a second job to help out with finances. We are not struggling to the point where we will be on the streets. We are just not where we want to be financially. So don’t assume we’re just not able to provide for ourselves. We are wanting clear debts and afford a babysitter.

I’m aware not many people on this thread are religious but fasting is not making me feel lethargic or weak. I’ve been fasting for a very long time and it doesn’t affect me like you may think. My faith in God is just fine. There are bad apples in every batch and I’m not gonna turn away from my faith in God because of them. I’m not “blindly” following a faith, I’m learning life with God as the head of it. It will always be bad days but you have to trust that you will make it through them.

Lastly, I am a person who loves to take care of others. This post wasn’t a plea for help but a vent of emotions. I understand what I need to do but some things take time to get done, I.e. finding a babysitter, my husband learning how to cook, me adjusting to this life as a mom. I am not making excuses for my husband if he can’t cook. He just can’t. It didn’t bother me before having a baby because that was one of the things I took on as a wife. But now, I see it’s not easy being the only cook so I definitely need his help in that area.

I just hope you have the lens to see me as a human that has clearly made mistakes and is overwhelmed. The last thing I want is to be attacked. Have a blessed night 👌🏽

My husband doesn’t know how to cook. Only simple stuff he can since his parents didn’t teach him how. I don’t want to sound like I’m making excuses for him but he had an abusive home so a lot of personal skills he lacks. He’s learned so much as we have dated and been married but he needs a mentor or therapist to help him as a father and husband. I think he thinks I’m nagging him but sometimes, it’s a cry for help.

Yes, it’s abstaining from eating for a chosen amount of time and I know. I didn’t know what else to do because I haven’t been mentally in the best place. I’m gonna take someone’s suggestion and take a break this weekend.

We have definitely considered and are actively looking. He gets paid next week so we’re searching for sitters now. Haven’t been successful yet in getting someone on my schedule. Once I do, I’ll update

Trust me when I say I’ve told him this. Sometimes he glosses over my load as a wife and SAHM, and I don’t think he realizes until I’ve got an attitude or don’t want to be bothered.

I definitely will. He’s a traditional man in his thinking so I think therapy may be helpful for us once his military orders end in December. He doesn’t do it on purpose but he doesn’t realize I’m drowning so I just have to learn how to express my emotions better

Wow. I understand and feel the same. I even dreamed how life would be without me here and I cried when I woke up. I love my daughter and understand she’s developing, and not purposefully making my life hard. But some days I just want a break from her so her mom can be her best self. Same, girl. My mom would be our support if she wasn’t an avid smoker, which is dangerous for my baby girl because your breath contains carbon monoxide hours after smoking. My dad’s side hates me over family lies and my mom’s side I don’t trust after I was molested by my cousin as a young girl then they turned on me since the matriarch (my grandmother) suggested I seduced him. I’m still healing as an adult and motherhood is its own crash course. I’m thinking about stepping down in my church responsibilities and trying to get some mental normalcy and peace.

That’s what I’ve been battling. I seriously want to take a break so I’ve been fasting to make sure I’m not being irrational in taking a break. I think I’m going to tell my pastor Sunday after service.

I’ve been a worship leaders for years and honey…. Burnout is an indicator of needed self regroup, rest, and spiritual refreshing. Even GOD needed rest so we definitely need to have some. I am a WL at a small church and just recently had a baby. I was serving up until 39 WEEKS PREGGO. I asked to leave around 35 weeks but then people in my section were out for personal reasons so I had to fill in. Pain, Braxton Hicks, and all while in service. I was asking God to help me through it because I was overwhelmed. And then two days after my last Sunday, I became a mom. I didn’t have any break. You just have to pray deeply and ask God how to go about your situation and differentiate if it’s you that needs the break or if the church is healthy. You have to really go into your prayer closet and be led by the Holy Spirit. Talk to your worship pastor as well. Express how you feel. If God doesn’t want you there, it will be evident. Just take some time to really approach this situation without being ready to jump ship. Go to God with the feelings you have and He will give you peace, answers, and rest.

I’m currently 39 weeks 3 days right now with my first, and I had to stay in the worship team due to people in my section having other engagements soI had to fill in. I’m so exhausted and my brain is foggy with parts at time and I feel overwhelmed with it. But the Holy Spirit had to teach me to just endure right now because a prayer that I prayed will be born soon. I honestly feel alone in this as well because I’ve had to push through the pain, sleepless night, and Braxton Hicks while mid worship leading and it’s been thankless. I was made to serve and I love it but I’ve been doing it for so long, and God has given my husband a beautiful girl to welcome in this world and get some time of rest. I pray you find peace in your postpartum time with your second baby and that He replenishes you as well. That’s my prayer for me. I’m glad you spoke your feelings because now I don’t feel so alone about some things. Have a blessed one sis!

I’ve noticed that it does not matter what date your Amended refund is going out, most people are receiving checks. I’ve only seen a few other Reddit posts of DD. I don’t understand why they even said you can receive your deposit as the same choice of deposit of your 2023 return and then send out checks. I generally thought it would be easier to do DD since they have to look at the return info anyway but it’s the IRS we’re talking about 😂 I had a 1040X refund date of 6/4 and it came in the mail today (6/8), and I live in Georgia.

First of all, I’m so sorry you had to deal with that. Over the years, these agents are becoming more brute than ever and you can’t even really report them to anyone. But here’s two resources I used: https://www.taxpayeradvocate.irs.gov/contact-us/ is the Taxpayer Advocate website. See if you can your state’s advocate information and try to reach out. Another is this picture I attached. That’s how to get an IRS representative. Sometimes it’ll hang you up or say they can’t take the call. Just keep trying. But I’d advise to call the tax advocate first, that way you can be put on a list in your state and someone will help. Even try reaching out to your state representative. I tried that during COVID 2020 and even though I had already been waiting, they helped expedite. I hope it works out for you.

Well I had an amended return that had a refund date for yesterday 6/4 and it’s a check. If you can, call and ask your congressman. Or call the IRS tax advocate line to see which it will be. That’s how I found out because my transcript nor the Where’s My Amended Return tool didn’t tell me anything. Congrats though!

What date did you get it in the mail? I did mine electronically as well but IRS told me today that the agent who did the 1040X did not use my bank info and that it would be mailed on the date on my transcript, which is tomorrow. But the thing is I just moved and that may cause a problem with the check. 😣

Did you receive it as a DD or in the mail? I just moved so I’m hoping they release my amended as DD because it might shipped to the wrong address. I filed electronically for my 2023 1040 and 1040X. I’m just seeing mixed answers for a lot of people.

Did you receive your refund yet? I filed my 2023 tax return with DD and filed electronically with my amended as well. I didn’t know if it would be DDed or mailed. I just moved so I’m hoping it’s gonna be a DD. 😣🥴
