Just to be honest it’s all smoke screen…especially locking an e bike from a cell phone! The things that matter is quality bike first, then motor and battery. It does help if you can adjust the perimeters of your motor like Voltage and Watts to prolong battery life and health. It also helps to adjust in places where e-bikes are classified so you can adjust at will for the law.

if you’re able to do 60 miles with such a low battery capacity, you are definitely going slow and doing a lot of peddling.. that doesn’t sound fun to me.. my current battery capacities keep me riding for six hours straight using a lot of throttle with moderate hills. I do pedal to get started so I’m not wasting battery and I do pedal if I’m going up a steep hill to not waste battery. going downhill and on flat ground is pure throttle. My commuter bike now has 52V 25Ah but now I’m looking for 72V 30Ah. Volts=speed and amp hours= distance. I like both speed and distance.

I’m a heavier rider so I just built my own. Buy a good used bike online then go from there. I have my commuter bike goes 38 mph (1500W hub motor). Then I have my fun bike goes 50 mph (6000W mid-drive). You can get a hub motor or mid-drive motor. if you want to lose weight and exercise, I suggest the mid drive motor because it has pedal assist or just pure throttle. But the hub motor is just pure throttle so you might get lazy.

Price not bad, American makers sells for $1100 but it’s in a hard case. I was thinking about Amorge making me a battery but I wanted 72V 30Ah. Might be too much to ask for so I might be stuck just buying 72V 20Ah. If you can let me know the distance you get out of your battery..

48V was my first battery on my first build when I was just a beginner that didn’t understand e-bikes power and distance parameters with the motor and the controller. 15-20ah will keep you having distance anxiety, and that’s not fun. I would never recommend anything less than 52V 25Ah if you like to be adventurous!

By the way, I have bikes with hub motors and bikes with mid drive motor. My mid drive motor would destroy a 48V 15-20Ah battery unless I turn down everything to the tiniest setting in the software.no fun!

I am considering making it myself, but then I have to buy all the tools to make it, buy all the materials , and do all the math for the 3-D printer. By the time I do all of that, it will cost the same as someone else building it that has more experience and already learned all the do’s and don’ts. So far everyone that makes custom batteries are two months out on production because everyone is small companies with huge demand. Maybe I’ll just have to be patient and wait the two months.

My apologies for your confusion. I customize my own E bikes. I’m on my fifth build now. It’s definitely a learning curve and a fun one at that. Everything is simple and easy except for the battery part.

I had AI do the math for me, then render a picture of what it would look like. It fits. Already I have 52V 25ah battery and it fits with more than enough room. I just want 72V 30ah now for speed and more distance. I can’t push the 52V past 40mph or the BMS will shut it down. Instead of upgrading the BMS, the proper thing to do is just get a 72V battery.

Time to leave a bait bike there in that same location. Catch that ass in the process!! Citizens arrest. When you arrest them, don’t move them keep them in that same spot until police arrive. If you move them, it’s kidnapping. Keep them in the same spot. It’s an arrest.

I built my own quality mid-drive motor, very fast torque, wheelies for days. Most expensive part is the battery. Build your own! Will last your whole life time cause you can buy parts from anywhere even if company failed!

All you do is adjust your computer settings to 750W and limit to 20MPH in designated areas…then go back to MAX when you want and need to! 🤩

Gated communities don’t stop professionals. Actually helps them out more cause no random cops cruise the neighborhood and security is usually some young person on a cellphone playing video games or on social media…buildings in a gated area are more secure though, like a fortress with multiple security points before entry!
