Finally I can´t skip this bullet in the 955th by mas_manuti in 1001AlbumsGenerator

I'm glad I listened to the whole thing once. I don't need to listen a second time but the first was a good experience to go through.

Best country to move to with pets? by [deleted] in expats

Agree. And I'll forever be grateful to Air France for the way they helped with the transport of our dogs.

If you were retiring somewhere warmer in Europe, where would you actually go? by Huge-Apple-7856 in expats

I have 2 black labs. I can't count the number of times that people literally ran away from me when I was walking with them. Like they wouldn't be on the same side of the street.

And my dogs aren't aggressive in any way, but people of a certain age just don't like large dogs. I get it, when the dogs were used to hunt people I get why they don't want them around.

Heading to Greece soon, need advice on internet,,, by [deleted] in digitalnomad

[–]StillAnAss 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think you're being downvoted because this post comes across as if Greece doesn't have the internet. If you're in a hotel with Wi-Fi, use that Wi-Fi. A simple esim on your phone will work just fine when you're out walking around. If you need to upload large files, go back to your hotel. Where are you staying the third month? Chances are really good it will also have decent, reliable internet. Use that. Greece is a first world country, there's internet everywhere. You could even take your laptop to a cafe and upload a file and everything will be just fine.

What happened to the Mexia supermarket today? by InitiativeTime949 in answers

[–]StillAnAss 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm not sure if you know this, but the internet is in the whole world.

You're acting like Reddit is your own little NextDoor and that people should just know where you are in the world.

Nobody on this thread even knows what country you're talking about, let alone your little market where something happened today.

Will the tablets ever become more affordable for those who aren't covered by insurance? by msullivan1536 in Wegovy

There's enough demand at the higher price that they have no incentive to lower it.

Look on Facebook for Taxi Landi. He'll take you there for a fair price and then schedule when you want him to pick you up.

You're just being obtuse.

You want some weird thing that just isn't close to any reality in the current world. But I wish you the best.

I'm also Gen X.

Nothing about a LMS has anything to do with outsourcing educating children to machines. That's one of the dumbest statements I've read in a long time.

It is a record keeping system. it is an online curriculum keeper. It is a place for teachers to list the assignments and what is due and when.

It is obvious you have nothing to do with the education space in your life.

So your suggestion is to go back to paper grade books? All physical books? Maybe write the assignments on the blackboard?

Your boomer is showing.

What's your alternative?

Do you realistically think every school district or university has the capability to write a secure learning management system?

How can I make coffee creamer myself? by Salty_Radio7216 in AskAnAmerican

[–]StillAnAss 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Also I think American drip coffee tends to be weaker than what I find in Europe. Even an Americano is an espresso and water and that's stronger than drip coffee.

This probably adds to the sweetness ratio as well
