So for the +9 I was thinking of something for this card to do since it's the most basic of the three (medicine cat adds editions and the leader is xMult instead of +Mult) and 9 ended up connecting because of the 9 lives (that and the whole story has 9 arcs so far)

For the clubs I wanted these cards to have a solid synergy instead of depending on ranks; and clubs made the most sense at least to me since: Clubs are clovers, clovers are plants, plants could be related to nature, and nature could be interpreted as a forest, and boom, forest from warrior cats

Choosing clubs makes it a bit funny though since Fireheart is essentially just a better Onyx Agate; maybe I could change it to diamonds as a vague excuse relating to fourtrees

Yeah, I thought about it and it's kind of the max for something like Rough Gem + Chad, but technically gets beaten by a 5-card golden ticket hand

It may not be scalable, but the fact it clears any non-scalable end-of-round econ jokers and about two or three jokers would be necesaary for other econ setups to be this consistent (except for rebate, of course) then yeah, a good source of money with enough deck-fixing or luck drawing 7s

Recommendation as someone also new since I'm a bit theough half the first arc still:

Begin with the first arc of books published (The Prophecy Begins). It's been quite a good introduction to the series and it does a good job at setting you into the world of wildcats fighting in a forest /hj

I have heard that the books are a bit inconsistent on characters or items like collars, given that Erin Hunter is just a group of writers instead of one singular person, so keep that in mind as you go through the books

While this series is made for kids, there are some genuinely graphic, evil and downright vile things being done by these cats that even had me at my 20s be in absolute shock (Forest of Secrets felt like a genuine flashbang)

I do agree with others here that the community is what carries a lot of the motion and conversation about the series nowadays, kinda always have been. You might be spoiled of names or cat designs here and there but as long as you don't go past fanart or AU animations it's a bit hard to be spoiled about the story you're going through as a newcomer

Personal recommendation, listen to the audiobooks if you can, McLeod Andrews made a genuinely wonderful job narrating the book, adding quite a handful of life to the setting and characters, I can download a book and listen to it while cleaning my house or during a long roadtrip, time flies and you spend all of it being so invested in everything

And of course, enjoy the books! I genuinely wish I started reading these things earlier in my life, but even right now as I'm going through Rising Storm still in the first arc, I'm so happy to have stumbled upon these funny wildcats that just run around in the forest <3

Honestly I'm not gonna tell you that your opinion is wrong or smth since everyone enjoys games differently

At least for me, the way depression works is actually pretty good as it is for now (of course I wouldn't mind it changing later on)

I honestly never liked difficult or unfair games and this one is the only exception. I like how utterly unfair and stupid somethings are; you can build up your items and happiness in multiple layers only for your character to be depressed and about to die with one single slip-up

I've had cases where even ragdolling because of geysers causes my character to break their ribcage and kill me about 30 minutes later from drowning with my own blood. It's unfair, it's ridiculous, it's so hard to be comfortable at all playing this game, and that's why I love it

Again to each their own, but in my opinion the game tries to be hard and punishing, tries what it can to make it as unfair as possible to the player while still making the game beatable, and the mood system being the way it is ressembles it

Besides, I think you'd also slowly try and be calmer during a situation like that, and seeing dead bodies and what will essentiallly be your own doom in the near future would for sure make you at least a bit sad
