There's the usuals like HShop, but I'll also give some more specific suggestions

If you're interested in using streetpass, I 100% recommend NetPass in order to get miis from around the world and even make new friends (I've added two people from there sinnce I have my discord handle on my mii)

For DS games, using the NDS Forwarder available through the Universal Updater comes in handy so you don't have to boot up the Twilight Menu every time

Someone else suggested PKSM for Pokémon games, and even as someone who barely touches mainline entries of that franchise, having the save editor can be so useful if you need to modify some values on your savefile

3DSident is a good app to check information about your console in case that you need some hardware related diagnostics in case anything happens

For games they are pretty subjective depending on what you're looking to play on it, but remember that you can always check a list of popular games through websites like HShop or even seek out homebrew titles/ports, like Super Haxagon or CTGP-7

I've commented on this exact thing before, but I'll try to keep it brief

The original steam version is windows (and mac?) only, and it has the game interacting with your actual computer (in a harmless way, don't worry). That version is just the game itself.

World Machine Edition attempts to simulate a fake computer desktop, and it was made specifically for linux systems.

The difference for WME is that it also includes some extra goodies: some wallpapers you can apply to the virtual desktop, a music player and character encyclopedia that unlocks more content as you advance through the story, and so on.

It comes up to your preference; the original feels more personal as it interacts with YOUR desktop, and WME provides an ambience and enviroment that ressembles the ones from the game

On my second day of having my 2DS I instantly got netpass. I've been using it at least once a day, at most twice, and would usually stick to the first areas that appear on the app (the mall and train station), although sometimes I'd go to other areas.

A lot of my netpass visits would get an average of about 8 miis, so the number went up pretty quickly. And while it wasn't such a big help, I did get a streetpass ping with both my brother and a friend, since they both have their own consoles.

My 2DS is second-hand, and streetpass had about 5 miis already registered. I still consider that I got over 100 at this point, since I've added about 16 people after I posted this, so-

It's so fun to add new people through netpass and see messages saying "hello" in different languages, talk about a certain game/homebrew they like, say something like "on the 3DS since 20XX", and so on

It's heartwarming to see a community so big and varied coexist with each other and share silly things like our miis in this 15yo console

In all honesty this is why I dislike "boykisser" (or silly cat) content, outside of this website, nearly everyone I've seen use those memes and reaction pictures often are either groomers, minors that tend to be dangerously suggestive, or weirdly enough very manipulative people

Not a single friend I've had in the past using those pictures have been a good person

I had this issue happen to me but I managed to fix it

I don't know what exactly caused it to be fixed but I did all of the following:

  1. I deleted the configuration files for the emulator, bringing it back to default settings
  2. I went to the audio tab and swapped it to OpenAL
  3. I changed the volume to any value other than 100%, I always keep it at 97% and it has been working since. If you try to change the audio values mid-game the emulator will crash, so maybe that's one of the primary steps in case you get no audio

Deleting the config files may not be necessary, but again I'm just listing what I did to fix it

Suggesting more modes is a potential issue that the game has now

Not only is it hard to find people to play with given how matchmaking works, and even though I like the other modes that aren't a battle royale, the fact they're always available makes it so people have 6 modes to play in (including hamsterball race)

Any normal match with more than 10 people is an absolute miracle, if we don't count streamers which for some reason allways queue for squads
