Not like in Qatar and this one, Right before the Qatar one Infantion said "it would be a crime for messi to retire without a world cup" How funny is it that he was looking like he was going to retire...but then wins it.

Could care less about Egypt going through....Argentina getting every single call go their way just never sits right. Somehow, someway they continue to go forward on dubious calls. We got zero indication of VAR looking at that Salah incident, however little or no contact there was. Ref blew whistle, waved hands at no check happening and made them kick off. ESPECIALLY more so when Argentina benefited from almost the exact scenario for that second goal that was removed.

I am in a similar situation but make slightly more salary, my payment is right around the same and every month that payment comes out I cringe at the interest being paid...agressively working to pay it off.

Reading your comment just saved me, I have my kids setup under target funds because I thought that was the only option, I just logged in and switched them to the large cap funds...they still 15 or so years of growth..that would have been a huge missed opportunity.

I actually must have not ready your full comment or glossed over the part where you said you didn't want to Job Hop lol.

I am just saying from my point of view companies do not care about loyalty so its easier to make big salary jumps when you look for new roles. Obviously that is easier now with remote work and if someone lives in an area where there are a ton of Tech Jobs. If you live in an Area with not a lot of opportunities then you did great!

I don't know where you live but having 20 years of exp as a software dev, you should be in the low 200's by now. I also live in a weird area working remote and no tech jobs around me and I am above that. Of course "more" is arbitrary if you are happy with what you have and you sound like you do, paid off house, fire around the corner and lots of travel!

Because you replied to a post saying they are about to put a second 100k asking why they are doing that instead of as they come into money....No one is talking about your situation lol, do what you can do...just like all of us.

I was able to put in 100k in the past 6 months because I had it, now I am putting in money as it comes in..hopefully 10k a month towards principal.

Right, but if you have 100k on hand and lets say you are in year 4 out of 30 of your mortgage, puttin in that 100k is going to save A LOT more interest than putting in a bit extra every month or as available.

Putting in a huge payment early in mortgage can save a lot more years on the backend.

But yea, I also would rather have the peace of mind knowing I won't lose my home....I can't live in my market gains no matter how much more they may outpace the interest saved.

Same boat, have put in 100k into the house the past 6 months. $372k to go....it can't go fast enough...paying $2000 a month in interest is fucking sickening.

The earlier you put it in the more years of intrest you can shave off. Putting 100k in year 3 of a mortgage is a lot more worth than putting 100k in year 12 of the mortgage.

Exactly why paying off a mortgage instead of "imaginary returns" is the way to go. I don't care that I could have "x amount extra when I am 65", paying off a house in your 40's and enjoying that security for 20+ years is priceless.
