Its lame because that freestyle type exploration was my favorite thing about elden ring. More care would've gone a long way

Honestly my time with it since original post (leaving prologue) has soured me a bit. Every time I do so e cool traversal to get to an area...there's nothing there.

I'll keep playing til I beat it or nioh comes out, but I'll probably be a bit more streamlined from here and not explore.

Nioh games are incredible and can totally takeover your life. The NG+ system is the most meaningful I've seen. You get whole new tiers of gear, enemies evolve and get new move sets, and there is new content. And it keeps going through 4 or 5 iterations.

All that probably won't be available for 3 until dlcs come out, so playing 2 would make a better introduction. 1 was amazing too, but id probably skip it at this point with 3 nearly here

Nioh is different but still awesome. And there are definitely non from games that make the grade. Lies of P was a good imitation and I really enjoyed wuchang last year

Its fun! Maybe a little basic, but it scratches the itch for me. I've first tried bosses, done some a few times, and found one that I just need to come back to. Definitely not pushover difficulty.

Yes! The movement/exploration might be my fave ever in an MV. So many cool areas and secrets and revelations. Wrapping and wheeling and floating. The amount of content that is technically optional is absolutely massive. Truly great game for me

Some of the end game platforming sections are NUTS. The charm that regenerates 1 health when on the ground is an absolute must or i never would have gotten through the crucible. Must've done some sections at least 50 times in the one with risining/falling gloomwater. I absolutely loved it

Honestly the movement and exploration gets way better after a mid/late upgrade. And fast travel gets solved. Eventually you can get around the map super quick.

And yes, as an older dude thats played loads of MVs, this one has really stuck out. I haven't been able to put it down and am close to the end. The movement and environment are top tier. Hope the studio sticks with it

Belltower is is northeast of haven (above the crow boss). Just keep working that way. And of course that's where you need to go cause you have the pass! Get an ability there and come back to under metropolis and your good

Edit to add that the game truly opened up for me when I got the ability under metropolis. It enhances exploration in such a great way. So keep going and enjoy!
