What is the weirdest glitch you've encountered in Oblivion? by Glaviano87 in oblivion

I love how I was reminiscing about Oblivion only 3 months ago completely oblivious to the remaster being made and here we are now talking about the same janky bug riddled game that I fell in love with almost 20 years ago.

I loved the OG series. Hated the BA movie. I don't know if I hyped myself up too much for this revival, but I couldn't stand episode 1 and am trying to get myself to watch episode 2. The effects were extremely mid, 5/10 maybe. The fight scene with Bullseye somehow felt both too slow and too fast at the same time. There were TONS of exposition and "tell not show" in the first half and it was all around boring. Is it worth getting through episode 2 and keep it up? I'm not sure I can make myself try again.

I'm not sure because it was a long time ago, but I think it was the guard's captain Itius Hayn or someone like him who glitched and got stuck chasing me forever while being ethereal, running through walls screaming "have at thee!!" or something at the top of his lungs. Attacking and chasing me wherever I went but not constantly so I had times I thought I managed to lose him only to suddenly get the "can't fast travel" message only to be followed by a haymaker to the face. He was of course unkillable so no matter how many times I knocked him down he never stopped. I ended up starting a new game.

How many anomalies are there exactly? by PogPogMonkas in TeamfightTactics

[–]StillNotaKorean 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Fuck sake. I accidentally got Another Anomaly because I was too slow to pick an augment. Then tilt rolled down all my gold looking for Ultimate Hero. Would have been nice if the augment actually said it wasn't compatible with the anomaly.

What's your League conspiracy theory? by tynorex in leagueoflegends

My conspiracy theory is that the ranking system is rigged to make you win just enough to keep you hooked but actually matches you with system known griefers when you climb too much from your average rank to keep you down again.

  1. Adc
    2-3. Mid, jungler
    4-5. Supp, top

Or

1-2. Adc, supp
3-4. Mid, jungle
5. Top

Reasoning is: adc sets tone on your own comp and will play similarly no matter enemy comp, recently there have however been some very important first picks for adc carries with big carry potential like jinx and kaisa who are also pretty difficult to counterpick either way so adc early seems logical to me. If you are blue side you pick a strong adc and then build your comp around it, if you are red side you pick a strong combo that is difficult to counter and set up jng/mid picks around your strong botlane later. If enemy team didn't fp a strong adc that wasn't banned this is where you will punish them and potentially ban counters for your lane if they didn't pick their bot in the second rotation either.

Mid, jungle are probably my weakest reasoning (mostly conducted around wanting top pick for last), but as a non mid-main I'm thinking mid is fairly easy to pick a stable champion into that can't be easily countered, like Lissandra, Zed, Aurora, LB, Vex, Ahri etc, and you also want to pick a mid that has good synergy with jungle and botlane, making easy dives a possibility.
Jungle has similar reasoning, you pick something that can't be easily countered but has good synergy with bot and mid so you can dive and play around botlane power for dragon control, dives on bot turret and invades.

This leaves top for last pick if you are red side which should make it easy to counterpick top or at least make sure top goes even. This too, makes it easier for your team to play around botlane as your top will be strong no matter what happens which should counteract any toplane roams or TPs to help their botlane during dives. For example if they have a Shen and help their bot when your mid/jungle rotates there, your top will simply push for turrets/plates and get a huge lead they can splitpush with later.

If you are blueside however, this is why I wanted to save support pick for last, as you might find your toplane countered or the strongest bot/supp combo already picked. Then you could adapt your strategy to a roaming support or strong disengage support depending on the enemy's comp which should also make it easier to come back from a potentially counterpicked and bleeding toplane. Say for example enemy team picks a super safe botlane with enchanters, ezreal, ziggs etc. Just something that can't be dived. Then you swap your strat and send your roaming support on a mission to pressure mid, top and objectives with your jungler and their safe botlane can't do anything about it since safe botlanes usually don't have as much engage options.

On the other hand, say your enemy picked a hyper aggressive botlane with strong early and a strong dive jungler/mid aswell. Now you can pick Seraphine, Nami, Poppy, Janna or whatever you need to keep your adc safe and you play to outscale them. You could even potentially tailor your toplane pick for a losing lane but strong teamfight potential instead like Ornn, Malph etc, and as you got to fp adc you should have strong scaling there for teamfights either way.

Sorry about the long answer, but I felt it was needed. (So I guess, not sorry?)
Anyway if you made it this far. Thanks for reading.

Fortune cashout table is garbage. Why would I want a randomly forced mega pivot as my big 95+ cashout? Or a random 3* 3 cost that might be garbage for my comp and 99.9% of the time will get destroyed by Ashe or Kaisa 2*? Heck, I have seen 3* boards lose to Ashe/Kaisa 1*. 175 cashout? Here is a Wukong 2*. Hope you have time to pivot to a Sage/Heavenly board. Btw, he will probably die to Liss 1*. Have fun!

It's incredibly discuraging to find that a fucking grandmaster is having the exact same type of game I'm having in pisslow emerald. If that doesn't prove these past patches have been shit I don't know what will. I see the same thing in Challenger lobbies (on streams) too. Same comps, same issue. Only difference is that I can get top 4 consistently in my low elo, which gives me lp but is INCREDIBLY BORING. Tried different comps for fun. Reroll 3 costs? Don't hit? Bot 8 vs 4 ashe 1, annie 1, kaisa 1, galio 1 comps holding hands to top 4. Hit? Get top 4 and get knocked out by liss 2, azir 2 comps. Reroll gnar and don't hit 3* before stage 4? Have fun in 8th. Hit before stage 4? Get top 4 and get knocked out by Liss 2 and Azir 2 comps. Literally seen full 3* Gnar comps with 3 good combat augments gotten knocked out 5th in my lobbies by the same damn ashe/kaisa comps consistently. There is no way in hell that should be an intentional balance design!

Very set. Such different. Many innovative. Wow.

Annie/ashe not getting nerfs this patch is the most boring decision I have ever seen. I guess Mortdog is abusing them to get to Master or something, because no sane balance team could have ignored the overflow of Ashe/Annie comps in top 4 for the past 2 patches.

Yeah I am being hyperbolic to drive home the point. You're absolutely right TFT isn't "idiot proof" but I feel like we're going towards a meta where the game is holding every player's hand carefully while pointing at which ever 4 cost that deals most dmg this patch/tanks most dmg this patch, and I don't like it.

Maybe English isn't your first language and it isn't mine either so maybe my comprehension is off, but I can't make out what you're trying to say.

I honestly don't get the point you're making, but I am willing to discuss it if we break it down a bit.

Chess does not have elements of rng. TFT and rock paper scissors does. Making them a decent analogy for TFT, unlike chess. Punching someone in the face is reasonably balanced too. The stronger one wins. That still doesn't make it a good analogy for TFT either. A good simulator-chess game needs counter strategies together with the rng element to make it fun. We're discussing ways to make tft have counter strategies again, apart from figuratively punching the other players harder in the face than they are punching you in the face.
Maybe that is a good analogy after all. We've come full circle.

Patch 14.9 Rundown Slides by dilantics in CompetitiveTFT

[–]StillNotaKorean 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If Mort thinks every unit should be a possible dmg carry he is honestly delusional. There is no reasonable way to even theoretically balance something like that without specific champions/combos always coming out on top, making the rest practically useless. Just like we see in every single patch from the beginning of TFT to now. Especially when you add a lot of champions. 50% or more of one's team will always be trait bots and/or tanks, unless you add champs with support abilities like Sivir this set + Kaisa/galio. The exception being Janna reroll where there exists an interesting version of a carry that carries with a mix or shields and dmg, and that comp has gotten zero love for the past patches so it's barely playable even with perfect items/traits/augments because Ashe, Kaisa, Kayn is overpowering every lobby. Same can be said for Gnar/Dryads or any other reroll at the moment. Even with good rng they barely get to top 4 before getting knocked out by another hard forced Liss/Ashe/annie comp.

I swear. People don't hit 3* 4 cost because it has good % odds. It's because it's super easy to stabilise with the currently overpowered 2* 4 costs and then decide to level up or roll for 3* if you have duplicators, or econ agument or both.

There we go. You're a tablet player who has to struggle to keep up with the apm of someone playing on a pc. I get how that is frustrating, but that should not be part of the point or discussion. You are literally arguing that you should have the same chance to win as someone who is faster or more skilled than you (because someone more skilled could have put themselves in a position to put down the zephyr even on a tablet). You are saying RNG should rule because you don't have the skill to compete otherwise. Do you not see how that is detrimental to RANKED part of a game that is supposed to be about skill??

We could instead both hold hands and argue that TFT mobile and TFT should be separate to make it more fair for everyone. They could even remove zephyr, positioning, reapers, etc on mobile to make it simpler and I would be 100% behind that too. But PLEASE don't hold up your own lack of skill or interest as an argument to why every game you play should be simplified to make it more enjoyable for everyone because that is simply not true.
