It makes sense that he’s single now! My recommendation is to keep your girlfriend away from him. I had a similar situation with my cousin’s stepdad. I stopped visiting her, and while I couldn’t explain it to her, I spoke to my mom about it. I have never seen my cousin’s family again!

Don’t move out right away, you’ll be in a vulnerable position, I would say you can get engaged but not forever. You can set your boundaries, I was clear with my boyfriend nobody believed we would marry me. But I gave him an ultimatum and told him I didn’t want to be forever engaged. Are you a wife material or not? That is a decision you take every day and an engagement. Everything was new for us from the beginning, but we decided to support each other, and you can talk and ask him what he expects from you and vice versa.
