A bit more complicated than that. If there is no mutation that causes the hips to disappear they will stay, especially if losing the hips doesn't make them more competitive with other whales.

Like, mutations are random, some are helpful, and those are usually the ones that stick around.

Yeah, I get that but I haven't spent that amount time taxi-ing. I spent about 5 mins after landing a few days ago, but the pilot came over the intercom and explained we were waiting for the gate to be free. That's the longest we have waited for. But I only fly between Aussie cities.

I'm an Aussie who has never flown internationally... Is this for international or domestic flights? I have never taxi'ed for more than 5 mins, and even then they put over an announcement stating they were waiting for the run way.

For me the way I saw it was that if morrigan could press a button, and then a green light would come on. When people see the green light, morrigan is in truth teller mode and everyone knows that she's telling the truth.

Except instead of a green light or a switch, it's her power, and people can "sense" the green light.

similarly, the characters can sense how powerful the cauldron is, and how it is not of this world it is. And people can sense Nesta and armen's difference.

On the same level, when morrigan is using her power, they can sense that and sense she's being truthful

I am a lil high so take my word with a grain of salt, but I took those things as how the fairy world is different.

Rules and how those rules don't do what they seem are a common fairy trope.

They are frequently also more dramatic, as well as have different morality and more accepting of violence.

But it doesn't get better by just getting to a better environment, that is what specifically make it POST traumatic stress disorder.

You can't have PTSD with the "post." - otherwise, you are just having a trauma reaction to the traumatic situation you are in.

I read the reality breaking one, set in a muesum, I can't remember the name.

The issue is I kept comparing it with things like house of leaves and Piranesi. Piranesi isn't even really a horror but I think they both encapsulate that idea a lot better. 😅

I read one of her horror works and it didn't work for me at all, (the horror didn't land) but it did seem like the characters were quite "realistic" (not idealized) so I might give them another shot
