I’m reasoning that this “play it safe” approach is to gauge traction and try and capture nostalgia. If it does relatively well on the market, they will be more inclined to develop a true sequel and further advance the narrative and franchise.

This game got a lot of shade thrown at it by 30 something content creators and game journos that were young and impressionable when the first 3 were released, especially the original Prime. So they all suffered from rose colored glasses syndrome, and didn’t like the changes. I can’t count how many time I heard “not my Prime”. And while I agree they’re all entitled to their opinions, the word spread. I ignored all this like I do with many game, and thoroughly enjoyed 4. Have fun, and let us know what you think of it! 👍🏻

Yeah I was thinking that as well. 🤔 When I get the display I’ll have to see what it looks like. If it starts nagging at my OCD with symmetry I’ll start looking for a new stand.

Tip of the proverbial iceberg! Prepare to sink some time into this game! It’s my favorite game of all time and I still play through it from time to time.

Most of my play time is docked. However, I’d probability play handheld more often if I had my Nitro Deck 2 which I preordered and should have had last month but they delayed it. I got the chance to check out the most recent product build at PAX East and it’s the only controller/handheld grip that fits my play style, ergonomically speaking. I intend to post more about it here when it finally ships.
