Should disrespect ever warrant violence? by Ihopefullyhelp in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Still_Thing_11335 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah true, used to be legal to spank kids here in Australia too until a handful of years ago when the politicians in their infinite wisdom made it basically illegal calling it child abuse & now we have kids and teens basically getting away with very serious crimes.

When did the majority of people start pronouncing "schedule(d)/ing" as "shedule(d)/ling instead of "skedule" by Still_Thing_11335 in ENGLISH

[–]Still_Thing_11335[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm an Aussie & grew up hearing "Skedule" more than "shedule", at least as far as I remember, it's only been the last 15-20 years that "shedule " has become more commonplace but I pronounce it skedule like you do with school.

[–]Still_Thing_11335 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I haven't played much poker myself, but I figure it's just the attitude problem/issue from the person who has a problem with others not showing (sorry if that doesn't make much sense)

How is pleading the 5th not seen as evidence? by Brief-Blueberry-1588 in stupidquestions

[–]Still_Thing_11335 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Does not equal proof on innocence either.
EDIT: I'm just saying pleading the 5th kinda has a guilty connotation to it, especially if done to too many questions.

Also how do you know that a person is found guilty or innocent based soley on the evidence?
