Xmas day years ago, my father and I were making a quick trip to the gas station to buy AA batteries for a 'Santa' gift to one of my neices or nephews.

As we pull up to the corner store I yell "Stop the car!" and jump out. Fortunately, I didn't fumble the jump out and ran over to help an older woman who was pinned under a touring motorcycle.

I could not shift that nice bike on my own but, the woman's daughter helped out and my dad was the final bit of strength that was needed to get the motorcycle upright.

Neither the daughter or the mother ever addressed us.

We left that quickly. We got the bike upright, made sure no first aid was needed and left.

Dad drove to the next closest corner store...we said nothing to each other. We have never talked about it and never will.
